I am back in Ottawa after a six month absence and loving it. You guys do not know what you have because the the Strips clubs in and around Ottawa are the best... (okay almost). I went to a three clubs with a group last night and we all had a blast.
Barbarella Diamonds - We arrived about 9:30 PM and the place was packed...on a Tuesday. I last visited the club soon after their return from the lost liquor license on a Friday and it was dead. We started the evening with a few rounds, a good dances on stage and in the CR at diamonds.
Pink Panther - Following the reccomendations of a few friends, we tried Club Pink in Aylmer, Que. The beer was the highest of the night at $8.00 for a Corona. We arrived just after a fight between some of the dancers and the Quebec Securite were called in to deal with everyone. Besides the drugs being done openly (a dancer did a line of coke beside the entrance in a less than packed bar). I heard from one in our group there was high mileage in the CR (because it was dead) and is similar in design to the downstairs at the Brass Rail in TO. Make sure to introduce yourself to your neighbor when you get into the booth because he will only be Inches from you. Overall the scary crowd was the last straw for us early thirtysomethings so we left after about 30 minutes. Avoid . Avoid. Avoid. Avoid
Pigales - We of course ended the night at Pigales arriving around 12 AM. The experience was truely amazing with well above experiences in the CR for all. Thank you God for Maya (Mariah sp) and a special mention goes to Mode. The other thing you have to love is the club closed at 3 AM. Party! Party!
Compared to Vancouver, Calgary, & Edmonton, you guys live in a SC dream world. This was it for my trip so I had to make the most of the night.
