Search function has been disabled

I noticed in another forum that the search function has been turned off, but not sure what the forecast is or if there is a plan to turn it back on.

I suspect, it may have been a response taken to reduce the load, due to the servers frequently timing out from being so busy recently.

I'll keep an eye on the other forums (obviously I can't search them) and post back here if I find out what the plan is.

Update

Strongbow posted plan in another forum: "New hardware is being installed to handle the new server loads. Once this is done, search will be re-instated."
