After reading many negative reviews and reports on US cities, I was quite apprehensive when visiting Seattle. However, it is in what's often called "the left coast" where the political and social climate is more like our own, so things aren't entirely bleak.
The city has an alternative print media similar to NOW, with some colour ads et al. One needs to have a city and district map at hand when doing research, as the city is much like the GTA with towns and cities merging into one big metro area.
Massage parlours are either "registered" or are called "relaxation". Signs of the latter are posted on the buildings, even one sandwich board was spotted while I was driving. I selected one from the paper ads and just made a cold call to an unmarked door. Things proceeded as per the norm and the person answering the door was the one to perform the relaxation, a suitable choice. At a certain point she asked if I "wanted it all", an easy question to answer given the imagined result. A most energetic bit of "relaxation" ensued, highly recommended as a highlight to an otherwise tranquil vacation, and as a preparation to a long flight home.
