Hey hobbyists, I sent a sugarbaby a $200 interac transfer. she has autodeposit on. She says she doesn't see the funds on her end. It's been an hour, and her bank (I think RBC) says the funds are pending and will either be released to her or bounce back to me in 24 hours. I called my bank and they say they don't have a hold on the funds, so the problem is not coming from me.

Any thoughts? has this happened to anyone, or is she trying to scam me?

If you got an email saying the funds were successfully deposited then she has them.

This has happened to me but I'm not sure why it did. She also had auto deposit so it should have gone though ok, and it looked like it went through. Eventually the transfer was bounced back to me as undelivered but it took some time. If it's urgent and you trust her enough to send another $200, just do that. If both go through you can show her.

how long did it take to bounce back?

If it's really showing pending on her side then wait 1-24hours. If they don't go through then you should get them back before trying again. After 24 hours I wouldn't send her more until the funds actually do come back to you.

Been there, twice before but not with SBs. One bounced back within 24 hrs but then repeated and went through OK. The other one went through but took a few hours. Since then, I'll do transfers only if it's necessary because of these 2 experiences. Thankfully both of these people/businesses were very understanding.

same situation? showed as deposited on your end but not on hers? did you speak to your bank?

Nope. Talked with the people I was dealing with. Thankfully resolved as i mentioned but I'm not an interac fan.

how long did it take to bounce back?

I don't remember but it was like half a day or something. IIRC I got an email saying the funds were auto-deposited, but in my banking app it said pending or cancelled or something like that. Check there to see what it says.

Sometimes your bank will hold the transfer if they are suspicious of the person who is receiving the funds (e.g. They have been reported for scamming other people). No way would I send another transfer.

Get a screenshot or you should have taken a Screenshot when you sent. I do this for every transaction
