Shaving the Penis, how do you avoid the red bumps the next day?

Hi, whenever I shave down there I always get red bumps the next day. How do I avoid getting these? Any tips?

shave often and your skin get's used to it. Bob Loblaw #2, knows best!

I keep my area shaved before every date with my wife... ie, it get's shaved 5x's a week.

This is what I was going to say. but now since I get waxed I don't have bumps baby powder does help after shaving or even waxing.

you could try waxing at the men spas. it last longer and feel soo smooth ;)

I have been told by a couple of women they like a guy to trim down there but definitely not shave, the comparison being imagine that prickly feeling she gets when touching a guy's face and her reaction, well just imagine what it feels like on her hoo ha

Had same question couple years ago. Was recommended TendSkin. Works pretty good IMO

Tried shaving once (for the vasectomy) but lots of sweaty, sticky itchiness that becomes very annoying...especially in the heat of summer.

Now I use an electric trimmer which seems to compromise the best of both worlds...

^ This is about the best thing you can do. People should be vary wary of those bumps, or nicks. Even ignoring STDs / STIs they are a great way to get infections. This is bad for men in particular because, to be blunt, our balls exist in 3d and have about the thinnest skin on our body. Throwing a condom on your dick, then rolling any woman into cowgirl after you've shaved, have raw follicles, and two obligatory nicks is a recipe for a nasty surprise. That's if the warm sweaty weather doesn't cause something to sprout all on its own.
