The technology is 10 times faster than Shaw's High-Speed Nitro Internet service, which currently runs at 100 Mbps per second. Shaw High-Speed Nitro is Canada's fastest Internet service - and offered exclusively by Shaw in Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.

The service will be delivered over Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) and will be able to support new and emerging Internet applications that require faster download speeds.

They finally got a service that blows aways the 160 Mbps speeds widely offered in Japan the last couple years. Hollywood and the Cable companies are NOT going to like this development.

Of course having a fast connection doesn't help much if the site you are going to has a slow connection. You get the slowest of the two, always.
