Should I be worried??

I had an appointment on my lunch hour today with a wonderful SP. (yeah, I know.. tough life!...)

Anyhow, we were going at it hot and heavy for awhile, and as I withdrew, I noticed that the condom had slipped about half way off. This means that the bottom half of my penis had no protection while in the act. Is this something to be concerned about in relation to increased risk of getting an STD??

It is not clear.

It is not clear from what you have described what part of your penis was exposed. If the condom was "half off" I assume that the base of the penis was exposed and this is usually not a big risk.

The greatest risk for STD is for a bacteria or virus to enter the tip of your penis and travel up the urethera. Some STDs (syphillis, herpes) will penetrate the ouside skin of the penis but even they usually require an entry point - pre-exisiting sore or scratch.

You're right. It was only the base that was exposed. I don't know if there is any way to prevent occasional slippage from occuring, but I'd rather be safe than sore in any case!
