I watched a short film clip the other day of the first concert since the death of Charlie Watts. Jagger and Richards were addressing the audience with Ronnie Wood standing off to the side.
I had this thought while I watched that the group had fallen below "critical mass" for lack of a better word. It seemed to me that the minimum number of original members had to be three (3), although I never really thought about this before. But I had this image gleaned from the Monty Python movie where the guy has lost both arms and one leg and he says something to the effect of "C'mon, lets go then - - - it's just a flesh wound - - you just scratched me".
It would be different if the Stones were a band in their 30's or 40's where sometimes members come and go. But Jagger and Richards are pushing 80.
Don't get me wrong: I'm a free market guy. If they want to continue and people want to see them I have no problem.
What do you guys think???
