Condoms are pretty bloody effective, and even if they fail, to transmit you need one person to have the AIDS, and it needs to transmit which is extremely unlikely unless you are doing the buttsex. Possible, sure, but not something I'd be concerned about.
Now herpes, HPV, the syph, that I'd be more concerned about as condoms about 50/50 but nobody seems to give a fuck about them.
That being said, with modern treatments those with the AIDS can get their viral count to 0 and keep it there, which has implications that we are not allowed to talk about.
