Sorry I forget the real name/breed of this dog... I am sure you all know what type of dog I mean though.

Out in the front entrance of my building there are two lion sculptures. They are set on brick/cement pedestals about 2.5-3ft high and about same in height as well. I must admit the mane, faces, body etc do look fairly real.

I have a corner unit so face front of building and west. Since I moved here in the early fall last year must have seen a hundred dogs walking by with or without their owners. Not to mention a few cats etc as well. None have barked at or tried to attack the lions before though until now. <LOL>

I am serious... it was so funny. I couldn't believe it. This little wiener dog was real serious too. Barking up a storm... trying to climb the pedestal to get at the lions. The owner was just letting him go at for a minute or two then started pulling on the leash... saying "Ok, enough, let's go" "OK, stop, come let's go." "Stop, Barkley... come lets go"

WTF? A wiener dog named Barkley? No wonder the poor little dog is confused.

<LMAO>

They were bred to go into badger sets and drive out - fight with badgers, so like terriers they have more than a certain amount of "spark."

Those little dogs will fuck you up, given half the chance.

Delightful little creatures, but they are bred to be pound-for-pound, bad-ass little dogs!

Half a dog high, and a dog and a half long.

That's nothing. My parents neighbours had one of those metal reindeers at xmas time in their yards. They thought some kids were trashing it only to find one night a deer was attacking it!

They were bred to flush out or kill foxes and badgers in their burrows. They
have as strong a bite as almost any dog, and they never let go, if they get a good
bite.

I don't personally like them, because they are a bit foul tempered. When I was a kid, I
once attempted to pet one, who reciprocated by jumping up and biting me in the face.
