Great weekend

Just hanging out with my two teenage sons. What could be better?

We've seen a couple of movies (There Will Be Blood & Michael Clayton), watching lots of DVD's and picked up some awesome looking steaks at Pusateri's.

Family day is a provincial holiday. Unfortunately my job is under Federal jurisdiction and therefore doesn't apply to me. So it's at work as usual.

It's ok, though. It's a really light day so I won't be busy. :)

It's not a "true" holiday for many as most corporations forced their employees to use one of the floater/holidays on Monday instead of whenever they wanted to take it.

I guess it will take a few years before it has the same importance that it seems to in Alberta (most businesses are closed except for retail & restaurants)

Spending time with my sister today and then I'm thinking of finding some nice second cup and just watching out the window while drinking coffee and doing homework would be a good thing to do tomorrow! Are places even open tomorrow is the question...? lol

Unfortunately, our savior McSquinty conveniently left out a huge part of the workforce when he decreed this holiday throughout the land.

At least he can take the day off, look over the realm of Ontario and feel he has finally contributed something. I do thank him for letting me know when to take time off to spend time with my loved ones. Without his guidance I surely would have continued to overlook this.

What is our leader doing in his time off? Trying to reword the Lord's Prayer to be more inclusive! I'm not religious in the slightest but I must have missed it when the puff of smoke appeared above Queens Park and McSquinty emerged as the new pope. This guy is too much.

BTW, happy family day!

It's a stupid name for a holiday. Leave it up to the FIBERALS to come up with something as gay as "Family Day" You telling me that there was not one single Canadian or Ontario resident that had a significant impact on this country in the last 100+ years that we could not name this holiday after them?

Terry Fox?
Lester Pearson?
Mackenzie King?
Timothy Eaton?
Norman Breakey?

Feel free to rip me or contribute to my list.

BTW - Norman Breakey invented the paint roller and more importantly the device for tapping beer kegs!

I had to work a full day Saturday, so it hasn't been a true long weekend. But I'm glad to have an opportunity to get some R and R.

Man you hit the nail on the head! I'm working today and tomorrow and when my customer replied: Umm Monday's a holiday...I said: Not for us self-employed people lol.....(being self=employed has it's perks and pratfalls doesn't it?)

I'd be much happier if I had the cash to get laid this weekend....damn I need it bad...you can bet though that the second I'm done this job and get paid I'm calling up one of the local hotties lol....

remember: all work and no play makes T rather grumpy lol

Any holiday in the winter time ant be bad. Too bad the city won't be able to use it to clear the piles of snow out there.

POS Premier, using MY tax money to buy his way to an election win.

This is a totally useless "holiday", one that is far from universal, and as a single guy, it makes me feel that the Premier does not love me.

Oh, wait, I'm a Tory, of course the socialist swine does not love me.
