Today marks a bittersweet anniversary for yours truly 31/03/01, it was my last business trip to Memphis, Tennessee.

The place was dilapidated, I'll never forget the trailer homes around the Liberty Bowl flying in, but I grew to love the city and the people I encountered. So when the company moved production to the PRC, I told them to fuck off I'm outta here. You know by now how much of a fan I am of the PRC.

But I miss the wonderful food I had there, boiled craws, Bourbon glazed pork, skilled fried chicken and most of all crawdaddy pie. Is there anywhere in Toronto where they make these delicious Southern treats or do I just go back to Memphis - sad memories and all.

There is nothing in Toronto that is as good as a good Southern restaurant in the South. There are places like Southern Accent that will remind you of what you are missing, but it's something like watching videos of your vacation and savouring the moment in your mind. It's missing the love.
