SP Inflation?

Has anybody else noticed a wave of SP inflation? Obviously to each their own, and SPs are more than entitled to price as they see fit, but I feel I’m seeing more $400/hr on LL for a ‘premium, verified’ SP, where maybe it was $300/hr before. Part of me wonders if the pandemic might be a factor...but what is odd is when I see a traditionally $240/hr SP publish an increase when I know the looks, verification status or service don’t quite meet the $300/hr level...

Is $300 the new $240? Given the lack of talent/options on Leo recently, I genuinely hope not...😢

Would love to hear your thoughts...

(yes, I know some of you are ‘anti-LL’ so....this post isn’t for you 🙂)

you need to have diamond hands. If most punters don't allow themselves get goaded into paying higher rates then eventually they will go down

When I started hobbying around 2009-2010 the average SP agency rate was usually somewhere around $220-$250/hr. Since then inflation (CPI) has gone up around 20-25% so it would make sense that the average SP rate should be close to around $300/hr by now.

I think I can only name one Indy that I've seen previously that has not increased their rate.
I will still see her, the others idk lmfao!

I've done $450/h before but don't see a huge difference between that and a girl who charges $240/h. Many are just plain shit with high prices, kinda like buying apple products!

Money is money... I'd pay more if I truly knew the experience would be better or guaranteed. Duds are everywhere.

I'd take a super-fun 7/8 vs. a lazy starfish perfect 10 any day of the week. Personality goes a very long way with me.

They can charge whatever they want, but if you're paying premium for a five foot nothing barely GND or a plastic French, inked "courtesan", you're a mark.

I think, fixed price is the problem. If SP would have set a lower price but it was common to tip $20-50 for good service and $50-$100 for excellent, all parties would have been happier

Diamond hands? If I need to have them I guess I should know what they are - anybody?

I think he means - go rub one out and don’t see SP’s until supply / demand reduces prices.
To me it’s all ones own perceived value - if you see the value do it , if you don’t - then don’t :).

Men thought for sure the pandemic would bring in an influx of new girls and the rates would come down. Hasn’t happened.

Once the rates go up to a new mainstream market level, they are not coming back down.

Has anyone else noticed that individuals can place their value at what they feel they are worth. This is a very personal service related industry and there is nothing wrong with a woman to ask what they what from their clients for their services.

Yes, some may price themselves incorrectly, both too high or too low, in the end guys have the final choice to see those women within “their” price tolerance/acceptability. You choose to participate in this hobby, their are costs involved but luckily the choice is huge so why fret about high prices.

For me this is part of the “entertainment” industry and I used funds that I could for this. The price increases pale in comparison to the overpaid individuals in the sporting world, many of which are not worth what they are being paid. But after they sign a long term contract, at least they still get paid or have received a huge signing bonus.

Nothing wrong with raising rates. With trillions of printed money from Cental banks, we are in a hyperinflation era that will only get worse which is compounded by super low interest rates, tight supply issues, trillions of covid-driven savings in personal accounts waiting to be spent , let's face it Canadians are not "natural born savers". Virtually every trade out there are raising their rates, so SPs and MAs are no exception. Bad news is the hobby will see a reduction in the pool of clients for folks adversely affected by COVID. With time, things will shake out, there will be clients/service providers exiting/entering the business and equilibrium will set in. Until then, it's gonna be a wild ride.

Pure capitalism at its best or some will say at its worse. I remember Tatum was the first "$300 SP". She overpriced herself at the time and I think her rate came back down.
