Wondering if a SP that is visiting you passes by a doorman to get to the elevator, will the doorman know that something is up? I am probably worrying about nothing... anyone else concerned about this? Thanks for any replies.

If it's just the ocassional attractive woman, they'll probably fit in with the general population.
He might be able to guess, I'm sure he sees a lot of interesting things over the years. They are supposed to be discreet, he might be more worried about losing his job if he said anything.
Give him a bottle for Christmas, just in case.

The classy thing to do is wait for her in the lobby, and when she arrives, take the elevator together. If you haven't met her before, ask her to describe, in advance, the clothing she'll be wearing.
You worry about your traffic - and pay more attention to it - than your doorman or anyone else does. In reality, unless your SP shows up wearing thigh high boots, a leather thong, and a bra, your doorman isn't thinking anything more than 'hey, a hot chick - one less moment of boredom in my dreary, kill-me-now life.'average guy said:
Your doorman/concierge/whatever works for you. He's not there to do anything other than make sure that the guests who come in are the guests you're expecting and willing to see. That's it.
Everything else you're worrying about is paranoia, plain and simple. It's not even an issue for the SPs out there who are professional and know their way around hotel/apartment security - we just shut and look like we both belong, and know where we're going, and no one ever gives us any grief.
Relax, or learn to love incalls - which, of course, come with their own set of things to worry about.

seriously why would you worry about the doorman? It's your apartment. You can bring in anyone you like and do anything inside. Your only worry is if the doorman knows your wife/family and you're afraid they might tell on you. In that case, avoid outcalls.

Part of a concierge's job is being discreet, respecting privacy. Those that don't do that well don't last long. Trust me, there's way weirder stuff going on in your building than you inviting the occasional escort over.

My own paranoid illusion would involve an SP being detained and searched for whatever reason, and being discovered as heading up to my apartment with a bag full of leather restraints, whips and strap-ons... that'd be fun to explain, though I haven't heard of it happening yet.

When I go on outcalls, I always make sure to dress nicely, but not looking like a SP - that takes care of any issues. I could pass as someone's sister (or daughter depending on the age of my client) and no one knows!
There were a few threads on same subject in the past already. Anway, my 2 cents:
- the doormen can think whatever they want. So I enjoy having attractive female friends and guests over, then what ?
- worrying about sp's improper attire ? You must be thinking too much. The young girls and ladies in my area dress more racier than most young sp's I see. And I am not even near DT.

About twenty-five years ago, I worked as a cashier in a magazine store in Montreal. It was amusing to see some of the elaborate means that some men used to disguise the stroke books they were buying, as if we really cared about it anymore than making the proper change.
Keep in mind that, for all intents and purposes, the door man/concierge works for you and the other residents of your building. He's not some inspector placed there to guard and comment upon your morals. He's there to ensure that you are not bothered by unwanted visitors. Your business is not his business.
