So why not award the Stanley Cup to best ladies team this year? The millionaire whiny guys can't get their act together.

They should just tie a black band around it for the lost season. Giving it to the women would be plain wrong because it's awarded to the NHL champs, not the WNHL (or whatever you call it).
If they actually do give it to the woman, the Stanley Cup will be considered a joke from that point on.

The Cup is Awarded to the NHL champs and no one elase this is what the Woman already said plus they already have a cup of their own.
It's not right for the Stanley Cup to not exchange hands once per year as it was meant to be...

Another Idea would be that it is held at Yonge and Front and the ACC is right down the street so why not give it to the leafs. Sounds like a good idea.

Dave Keon Cursed the team and said they would never win another cup and look what happened no cups yet. everytime we get close something crappy happens and we get screwed over. In 99 when we got beaten in 5 it was a fluke by Buffalo. Toronto had the much better team they werent that old then and had the best Goalie. and in 93 there should have been a call and the leafs would have won and then faced Montreal for one last match in the finals.

How exactly is it a fluke to lose a series 4 games to 1? Nice try with the golaie argument.Remember game 1 when Hasek was out,and all the Leaf fans figured they'd bow away Buffalo and take an early lead in the series? We'll, Buffalo beat them with Dwayne Roloson, and beat the living shit out of them in Buffalo. The only game that was reasonably close was game 5 and Buffalo still beat them with relative ease.

Im not rewritting history im stating the facts. and my big argument was it was a FLUKE that buffalo won. yeah they won 4 games to 1 but it was still a fluke. and Cujo was better than Hasek that long neck graffe. Everyone expected Toronto to beat Buffalo and even now in The Hockey News and Sports illustrated they call it an upset and a Fluke. Its great being a leaf fan. At least we have the 2nd most cups ever and we always make it to the playoffs now.

I really feel sorry for you. I guess just by calling it a fluke makes it a fluke. In that case, I say it's a fluke Toronto won all of their Stanley Cups.
You know you're starting to settle for mediocrity when your team hasn't won a Stanley Cup in almost 40 years and your boasting about making the playoffs on a regular basis.
There is nothing wrong with saying its a fluke when you have professonal sports writers saying the same thing i am. So what is going to happen to all of the people that dont like the leafs now but once they start winning cups they will be like "oh i love the leafs they were always the best". The leafs will win the cup the next season nuff said.

The Leafs will not win another Stanley Cup for a long time. Heck, they might not win another Cup again.
What exactly makes you think the Leafs will win a Stanley Cup anytime soon? Their solid core of young prospects? Their incredible track record at drafting impact NHL'ers? Their injury prone goaltender?
Unless the NHL somehow changes their playoff format and automatically makes the Stanley Cup finals Toronto vs Ottawa, the Leafs will never ever win a cup.
Was it also a fluke when the Leafs lost to the Canes, Kings and Canucks in the Conf. final? Here's a tip for you. When a team loses four out of four series in the Conf. final it's not a fluke. Fuck, the Leafs are even worse than the Buffalo Bills. At least the Bills managed to lose four consecutive Super Bowls, as opposed to the Leafs who can't even seem to get out of their conference.
Like I said before once the leafs win which they will and i know you dont understand because your not a fan so its okay but everyone has their own opinion no matter how uneducated on the topic. And yes it was a Fluke that the leafs lost to the Kings in 93 for the last time. Number 99 high sticked Gilmour and made him bleed now that should have been a call and the leafs would have been on the power play they probably would have scored and won the game and advanced to the Finals. i never said anything about the Canes or Canucks. Oh yeah talking about old teams winning the cup what about in 2002 when Detroit won yeah they team was older than the leafs now. We will have to wait and see what happens in the next NHL season.
