So what cult do you belong to?
None. Only weak-minded people join cults..

So, you're admitting you are a Farmer????
You wish fanboy.

Us Apple Fanboys, are actually more intelligent, creative and higher on the evolutionary scale. So, it's doubtful we are small-minded.
No valid point there folks. Just fanboy weak boasting. You really like making 'invalid assertions' about me and yourself it seems.

Matter of fact you make invalid assertions about everything while dodging.

can you provide me with someone comparable..
Hmm... Henry Ford, Walt Disney, Jimi Hendrix, Lennon/McCartney... To name a few. All MASTERS of their chosen professions.

Oh and you should be mad at those 'independent' suppliers' you say you'll buy that book from since they also bumped up the release date to cash in on your master's death. But of course the brainwashing is still working on you and other fanboys.

I thought you belonged to the John Deere Cult? Please see post #167

It seems I'm right all the time. My impeccable 'Apple fanboy' intelligence made an educated behavioural guess about your profession -- Farmer. You admitted you were a farmer. See Post #167 again

Still waiting on evidence/reply about Woz from you... see post #167 ho-hum again

Henry Ford, Walt Disney, Jimi Hendrix, Lennon/McCartney... To name a few. All MASTERS of their chosen professions.
All arguably valid 'Masters,' and you can add Steve Jobs to that list now -- though if I was pretending to be you Steve~, "you would say they ripped off other peoples ideas and screwed people as well!"

Also, they all have a connection to Steve Jobs, his impact: Ford added iPod jacks to their cars, Walt Disney wouldn't be as successful without Pixar (purchasing Jobs' Pixar for over $7.4B), Hendrix, Lennon/McCartney (they screwed Harrison, and can you say Yoko Ono) -- oh, iTunes (that was a game changer, huh)!

If you don't discount the evidence and do your research Steve~, you might win a point (highly doubtful)

Oh and you should be mad at those 'independent' suppliers' you say you'll buy that book from since they also bumped up the release date to cash in on your master's death.
You're replies are getting weaker and weaker Steve~ ...
Why would I be mad at 'independent suppliers'? Even established media giants (NYT, Bloomberg) have bought their copies early.

Oh, a review on the new book Steve~: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/10/22/b...lter-isaacson-review.html?_r=2&pagewanted=all

Great summary by reviewer:

Skeptic after skeptic made the mistake of underrating Steve Jobs, and Mr. Isaacson records the howlers who misjudged an unrivaled career. “Sorry Steve, Here’s Why Apple Stores Won’t Work,” Business Week wrote in a 2001 headline. “The iPod will likely become a niche product,” a Harvard Business School professor said. “High tech could not be designed and sold as a consumer product,” Mr. Sculley said in 1987.

Mr. Jobs got the last laugh every time. “Steve Jobs” makes it all the sadder that his last laugh is over.

Give it up brainwashed fanboy.

Newsflash fanboy.. Using bold type does NOT make you right.

I never said I worshipped. Or said Jobs was a God. Word of advice, worshipping is for neandrathal primitive cavemen. Oh, wait -- you're a farmer!
Oh. wait.. You're an idiot! The way you defend him and everything Apple anyone would say you DO worship him so the question now is why do you since you're not a neandrathal primitive caveman fanboy? Why?

It seems I'm right all the time. My impeccable 'Apple fanboy' intelligence made an educated behavioural guess about your profession -- Farmer. You admitted you were a farmer. See Post #167 again
Too bad your fanboy intelligence is wrong since I never said I was a farmer and only said you're making silly assumptions about whatever my profession is simply for not liking my opinions. But thanks anyway for showing your parents did a lousy job in raising you since you obviously judge people lesser than yourself if they have a profession (ie: farmers) you deem is below your own for some stupid reason. Yep they did a good job instilling 'Arrogance' in you. I suppose you look at all blue collar workers the same way as well from that marketing office right? Please do yourself and us all a favor and tighten that tie around your neck.

Still waiting on evidence/reply about Woz from you... see post #167 ho-hum again
So all of a sudden you've forgotten how to use Google after telling me to do the same earlier?

All arguably valid 'Masters,' and you can add Steve Jobs to that list now -- though if I was pretending to be you Steve~, "you would say they ripped off other peoples ideas and screwed people as well!"
So you agree with my list. It's about time you found some smarts.

If you don't discount the evidence and do your research Steve~, you might win a point (highly doubtful)
You just keep avoiding my points so you're in no position to say I haven't won any.

You're replies are getting weaker and weaker Steve~ ...
Why would I be mad at 'independent suppliers'? Even established media giants (NYT, Bloomberg) have bought their copies early.
You not being mad at the independent suppliers while being mad at Sony or Amazon for doing the same is hypocritical don't you think? My point is they are all the same but for some silly reason you told yourself you'd feel better by using independent instead. How weak.

Yawn! It's too obvious that every reviewer is gonna hype this. You being paid by Apple fanboy?

While you're at it you should read THIS. but I guess you are not smart enough to stop using your fancy overpriced phone thanks to that Apple marketing that did a great job brainwashing you into thinking you need that phone to be 'cool' right?

*Again... By the way.. Using bold type does not make you right.

Sure it does. I win

Oh. wait.. You're an idiot! The way you defend him and everything Apple anyone would say you DO worship him so the question now is why do you since you're not a neandrathal primitive caveman fanboy? Why?
Steve~, you are being illiterate again ...

Too bad your fanboy intelligence is wrong since I never said I was a farmer and only said you're making silly assumptions about whatever my profession is simply for not liking my opinions.
Did I mention illiterate? Please see post #167 again ....

...But thanks anyway for showing your parents did a lousy job in raising you since you obviously judge people lesser than yourself if they have a profession (ie: farmers) you deem is below your own for some stupid reason. Yep they did a good job instilling 'Arrogance' in you...
Someone has some parental issues (and it's not me) ...

...I suppose you look at all blue collar workers the same way as well from that marketing office right? Please do yourself and us all a favor and tighten that tie around your neck.
Beep. Beep. Wrong again. I see blue caller workers, executives to CEOs as cogs in a machine. Each needs the other to operate as one smooth machine. It's very Zen, like Steve Jobs!

So all of a sudden you've forgotten how to use Google after telling me to do the same earlier?
Uhhhh ... no ... all you have to do is "scroll up" the page?

So you agree with my list. It's about time you found some smarts.
I'm obviously more rational, fair and well-informed than you are. And, obviously, Steve Jobs had an equal to greater impact.

You just keep avoiding my points so you're in no position to say I haven't won any.
Please see post #167 ... ho hum ... again ....

You not being mad at the independent suppliers while being mad at Sony or Amazon for doing the same is hypocritical don't you think? My point is they are all the same but for some silly reason you told yourself you'd feel better by using independent instead. How weak.
I obviously have higher rational ethics than you. Which makes me much stronger and not hypocritical like yourself Steve~

Yawn! It's too obvious that every reviewer is gonna hype this. You being paid by Apple fanboy?
I'm not stupid -- I would accept a payment or freebie from Apple -- Wouldn't you?

While you're at it you should read THIS. but I guess you are not smart enough to stop using your fancy overpriced phone thanks to that Apple marketing that did a great job brainwashing you into thinking you need that phone to be 'cool' right?
Control issues Steve~? Apple enhances my life, it doesn't control it.

Eat crow. That 60 minutes show basically backed everything I've been telling you. Even people i didn't know in the group that watched it with me said he was an "Asshole' after watching it.. Especially on how he treated that 3rd guy that was in the garage with him and Woz. the show also pointed out that Jobs knew NOTHING about computers or coding.. He was what he told you he was... A Salesman. Nothing more nothing less. :eyebrows: The only good thing was what he told himself after seeing how his employees acted with their new found riches.

*By the way, the bold type STILL does not make you right and you're also looking childish now.

Apple enhances my life, it doesn't control it.
Spoken like a well trained sheeple. You got that statement from the Apple fanboy book right? Anyways.. Bullshit! I'd bet you're like that guy who wrote the article I linked to. (and you avoided as usual) Since you like to quote from articles you think share your views I'll post the following from it since it's obviously a question you should ask yourself but I'd bet you're not smart enough to:

"No matter how impure Thoreau’s experiment in simple living may have been, there was something undeniable in his suggestion that we often have to strip convenience from our lives to feel alive. The iPhone had certainly made my life easier, but had it made my life better?"

Hmm.. ponder THAT^ fanboy.

I would accept a payment or freebie from Apple -- Wouldn't you?
You sound like a slave.. err Sheeple talking about his master.

I obviously have higher rational ethics than you. Which makes me much stronger and not hypocritical like yourself Steve~
Wrong. You're the hypocrite for not seeing the independents are aiming to profit just like the big publishers, meaning they are no different.. meaning you're fooling yourself.

that's a very poor argument. Do you really want to know the cost of that Timmies coffee, McDonalds Big Mac, the John Deere Tractor Trailer you pull? Do you want to talk about the good(s) you pay that is over-priced? Epic fail Steve~!
Ha! You're justifying the overpricing of Apple products by bringing up other over priced products in a sad attempt to say.. "It's ok!" or "So what!".. Well If your master was so forward thinking as you say.. Why couldn't he counter that and not over price his products then?

Answer.. He was a greedy SOB just like any other CEO. But that's ok to you cause you just wanna be... 'cool'.

I'm obviously more rational, fair and well-informed than you are.

I obviously have higher rational ethics than you.

I'm not stupid..

I win.
You gotta stop dropping those 'baseless assertions' kiddo.

Is it true that he refused treatment in favor of "natural" remedies when he was initially diagnosed?

5hummer does not know or care about Ritchie because he does not consider him 'cool'. That's how ill informed he is.

Is it true that he refused treatment in favor of "natural" remedies when he was initially diagnosed?
That was the brainwashing of being a 'vegan' that made him make that mistake.

I think it was skewed by the media (based on an excerpt from the book).
He wanted to find an alternative to drugs & chemo.

To be honest, I don't blame Jobs, I would do the same. I've seen what drugs & chemo can do to a person, it is painful to watch.

Why should I eat crow? Jobs admits all the time that he is 'difficult.' And, any Apple employee will tell you Jobs was difficult to work with. But, he was right (Jobs' accomplishments prove that). That said, any employee (Cook, Ive, Woz, etc.) also understands that they are working with a very 'special' talented individual. Steve~, it's called Leadership and Visionary.

Jobs never created the computer, MP3 player, retail stores, etc., etc. But, he had a vision of what these products should be, and, their position(s). Any company (Microsoft, Sony, IBM, Nokia, etc., etc.) had an equal opportunity to create these products, but, it was Steve Jobs that understood how to execute his vision & strategy.

Spoken like a well trained sheeple. .
Hey you watched 60 min like everyone else, who's the sheep? Please note, I haven't seen the 60min segment (just read about it).

That is up to the individual. I can apply that to a FAX machine or an automobile? Ridiculous argument.

Wrong. You're the hypocrite for not seeing the independents are aiming to profit just like the big publishers, meaning they are no different.. meaning you're fooling yourself.
Well, are you denying people have to make a living? We don't all live on a farm like yourself (see post#167)? I bet you are no different, what are you exploiting for profit?
It seems you put like to put yourself on a higher moral pedestal? But you sound like the biggest hypocrite of them all.

.. Well If your master was so forward thinking as you say.. Why couldn't he counter that and not over price his products then?
Answer.. He was a greedy SOB just like any other CEO. But that's ok to you cause you just wanna be... 'cool'.
I guess you forgot to read what you wrote about Steve Jobs on 60 minutes?
And, you never answered my question regarding pricing products? See post #167 AGAIN!
So, please enlighten us about pricing, profit and overhead? I'm sure Tim Hortons, McDonalds, Sony, Home Depot, would love to hear your opinion, please!

You gotta stop dropping those 'baseless assertions' kiddo.
You seem to be avoiding my questions and negating Apple & Steve Jobs' impact on the world.
Maybe, you should do your research and pick up a copy of his book. Then, maybe, you can stop arguing like a 5th grader.

Oh, don't forget to watch this tribute, A Celebration of Steve's Life: http://events.apple.com.edgesuite.net/10oiuhfvojb23/event/index.html

Oh shut up. It's obvious by now the book rips him to shreds concerning everything other than his business life. You're still avoiding the point I made that he ripped off Woz. Just because he has no sour grapes about it now does not excuse it. You act like you want to pretend it never happend. Keep dreaming.

Oh hush. i answered your question by stating you're excusing Apple for over pricing just because other companies do it, but we're not talking about those other companies here. So stop avoiding and making excuses to the fact that Apple way overpriced it's products considering the slave labour to cut costs used to make them.

Since you like to post links read this and shut up.

It looks like the people who had to deal with Jobs day to day aren't shedding too many tears over his death. The only sad ones are the zealots who blindly purchased his expensive trinkets. Hmmm..

I think it was skewed by the media (based on an excerpt from the book).

Look at you saying you would 'do the same' simply because the matter involves your idol. If it was some regular bloke you would say he was crazy just like everyone else. It goes to show that you are STILL blinded by the billions. Like the 60 min show and the book point out and I've told you since pg one. His ARROGANCE did him in. Jobs ARROGANTLY thought he was special. That the normal rules didn't apply to him. He parked in handicap spaces. Denied fathering his first child. Drove without a license plate. That ARROGANT thinking has brought him great success, failures.. and an early death. When he was diagnosed with cancer, he delayed treatment and pursued other alternative medicine due to his ARROGANCE. He ARROGANTLY figured he 'knew more' than the doctors treating him. :eyebrows: It was his choice. But cancer does not discriminate if you're rich, poor, famous, or a genius. When there's a treatment with a very good chance of survival and your massive ARROGANT ego thinks you can heal yourself, that's just stupidly misguided.

Oh shut up.
Not going to happen, soon-to-be Apple Fanboy! Hail Steve Jobs your new God!

It's obvious by now the book rips him to shreds concerning everything other than his business life.
You haven't read the book, have you? Or, you did read it!!! Converted Apple fanboy!

You're still avoiding the point I made that he ripped off Woz. Just because he has no sour grapes about it now does not excuse it. You act like you want to pretend it never happend. Keep dreaming.
So you're making emotional decisions for Woz now? You must like getting fucked over and then asking for seconds by bending over.

Oh hush. i answered your question by stating you're excusing Apple for over pricing just because other companies do it, but we're not talking about those other companies here. So stop avoiding and making excuses to the fact that Apple way overpriced it's products considering the slave labour to cut costs used to make them.
Obviously you are self-sufficient in your little farm (as per post #167). But you'll probably shoot yourself when you realize how much you overpaid for that Tim Horton's coffee or that automobile that you drive! And, don't forget the slave labour that picked the beans for your coffee, made your can of Coke or made the parts for your automobile

You still haven't explained to us, the cost of doing business -- you know -- pricing goods, positioning, competition, overhead, taxes, marketing, sales, profit, etc., etc.

Since you like to post links read this and shut up.
Takes a real man to admit his weakness,' allow the author full access to his life and not meddle with the author. "Jobs asked for no control over what was written nor even the right to read it before it was published. He put nothing off limits."
Plus, it was written for his children, to get to know him better -- pretty noble, huh?

It looks like the people who had to deal with Jobs day to day aren't shedding too many tears over his death. The only sad ones are the zealots who blindly purchased his expensive trinkets. Hmmm..
Wrong again, he's received tributes from plenty of your idols, McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Obama, Gates (Microsoft), Page & Schmidt (Google), etc., etc..
See, A Celebration of Steve's Life : http://events.apple.com.edgesuite.net/10oiuhfvojb23/event/index.html

Nope. Again, you are illiterate and did not read my post. I've seen a friend go through a losing battle with cancer. It was painful to see this person go through treatment(s) of drugs and chemo. If I was diagnosed with cancer and offered drugs and chemo -- I'd rather find an alternative and just take the cancer. The drugs and chemo are a slow and painful death as far as I'm concerned.

So, Steve~ if you had cancer, would you find an alternative first or do drugs & chemo?

Karma is a bitch fanboy.
Karma is a woman???? That explains a lot about you Steve~ !

So, Steve~, I assumed you picked up the digital iBook version (and read it on your iPad all night), right?

I suspect he hasn't read and is simply trying to use it to back some point he's trying to make. Possibly, if he did pick it up from the shelf, he might think it would burst into flames.

Judging from the last few pages of drivel, if not for any other reason - Steve Jobs name will live on forever in the never ending ping pong banter of this thread.
