I'd like to throw this out. I am relatively new at this.

How best to handle girls who get difficult, either because you don't agree with their price, or on close inspection, you don't want to go with them? For eg, see my post "another street warning".

I have had a couple of times where girls jump in and either name some unsatisfactory price, or else you change you mind, and then they get really wild or threaten you until you pay them.

One point, I try and treat girls with respect and if I pick up a girl, I always give them something anyway ($10 or $20) out of respect for their time. I have had a couple of times where they demand more.

Whats the best way to get out of a difficult situation without resorting to
a) calling the police -- I don't think they would be too helpful
b) using violence --

I also have had a couple of instances where I sense that there will be a scam coming on and all I want is for them to get out of the van.

Any suggestions....

Don't let them in until you cut your deal!! Once they are in the vehicle, if they are pulling any kind of a scam, you are in trouble. I learned the hard way years ago. Picked up this girl. She said go down this street. Then pulled a knife!! The street scene is a ruff and tumble place; all you can do is to protect yourself the best you can. Stop the car; have ALL doors locked; use power window to lower the window A LITTLE BIT; cut your deal and hope for the best.

I disagree about cutting the deal b4 they get in, you leave yourself open for decoys.

As for handling crazies, act crazier than they are and be firm. Never give in, never back down. Look them in the eye and tell them in no uncertain terms that you won't put up with any shit. Works for me.

Close call

Last winter I made the mistake of driving through the middle of Oshawa at about 2:25 am with my doors unlocked. I had just finished my shift (4pm to 2am) and was on my way home.

I was turning on to King from Simcoe when a woman who had obviously been drinking started to walk in front of my car. I had pulled forward to check for oncoming traffic and so I backed my car up out of the crosswalk. She moved down my car and opened the door and got in the passenger seat.

I was surprised, but next she grabbed my crotch with one hand and asked me if I wanted to go and have a good time! I said no (she was drunk), and then she wanted me to drop her somewhere. I finally agreed to drop her on Bloor Street and drove her to where she indicated and let her get out.

When I got home and related the story to my wife she said I should have just driven the woman to the Durham Regional Police Station on Centre Street and had them remove her from the car. She said the woman could have alledged that I assualted her, or pulled a knife (insert your own nightmare scenario).

Bottom line, I now lock my doors when I drive through downtown Oshawa at night.
