Full disclosure. I am not a KISS fan. Not anymore, at least.

I had a brief fling with their music when I was younger, you know, before I grasped good taste and common sense.

I am basing my list on those days.

KISS is gimmicky and too corny (think: Paul Stanley shrieking, "ARE YOU READY TO ROCK AND ROLL?!" at the top of his lungs).

I actually think KISS is the living, breathing epitome of absolutely everything that was going wrong with rock music in the mid- to late-1970s.

The Number 1 reason KISS was so successful is that they were audacious enough attention whores to do what they did -- namely dress up like Halloween cabaret zombies.

Be that as it may, I've heard most of their albums, and just in case there happens to be a KISS fan or two out there, this one's for you.

Destroyer (1976)
KISS (1974)
Hotter Than Hell (1974)
Dressed to Kill (1975)
Love Gun (1977)
Rock and Roll Over (1976)
Dynasty (1979)
13 really shitty records between 1980 and 2012 in no particular order.

Pink Floyd albums ranked best to worst:

Beatles albums ranked best to worst

Rolling Stones albums ranked best to worst

Rush albums ranked best to worst

Led Zeppelin albums ranked best to worst

The Who albums ranked best to worst

Black Sabbath albums ranked best to worst

Yes albums ranked Best to worst

@JeanGary Diablo - the 13 shitty records between 1980 - 2012 are my favorites :ROFLMAO: - well the ones from the 80's and early 90's anyways. I actually got into Kiss when 'Lick it Up' was released, back then a show called Toronto Rocks on CityTV was playing that video constantly. Anyways - when they released "Heavens on Fire' I was done and from then on - been a fan ever since. I would put alot of the 80's stuff and early 90's in the top 10 but keep Destroyer def in the top 3.

My list as follows:

1. Animalize
2. Destroyer
3. Lick It Up
4. Asylum
5. Crazy Nights
6. Revenge
7. Hot In The Shade
8. Creatures of the Night
9. Kiss
10. Dress to Kill
11. Love Gun
12. Hotter than Hell
13. Dynasty
14. Carnival of Souls
15. Psycho Circus
16. Rock N Roll All Over
17. Unmasked
18. Sonic Boom
19. Monsters
20. The Elder

One bit of consistency amongst KISS fans I have noticed: I think every single one of them I have ever known ranks The Elder as their least favourite KISS record.

Back in public school days we used to listen to KISS Alive 1.

Destroyer came out around that time and I believe that Shout it out Loud was a big hit.

Animalize is indeed a great record. Love "Heaven's On Fire" and alot of their 80's stuff except Hot in the Shade. Lick It Up brings up fond memories of my first car as I used to play that cassette while driving all the time.
My TOP 5:

DESTROYER
ALIVE
ROCK AND ROLL OVER
ANIMALIZE
CREATURES OF THE NIGHT
