At this time of the year, I thought it would be appropriate, as a friendly reminder, the perils of drinking and driving. I have just received a call from a good friend who's wife and daughter were invovled in a car accident last night with someone that was charged with DUI (for the third time!). Both are thankfully OK and will fully recover.
The Christmas season is upon us. With R.I.D.E. out in full force, it would at the very least, place a major damper on the holidays, if one were driving while under the influence. Have a designated driver, take a cab, bus or, walk it off.
Here's a great TIP: If you have a CAA membership (AAA for our American friends), call them and say your car will not start and require a tow. When the tow truck arrives, have him tow you home. He won't care because he'll get paid regardless. You get home safe and sound (without any additional cost to you or small cost depending on distance).
Play safe and enjoy the coming holidays...
