So I'm obsessed with sushi, I've probably been to over 100 different sushi locations in the GTA alone, and I absolutely love non-Asian women who love sushi, it's a huge turn on for me.

What's your favourite kind of sushi? And who else is obsessed with sushi?

Yes. I am. Totally obsessed. I crave it on occasion, and I hardly ever have anyone who wants to come out with me for sushi. Gotta love the "wasabi rush"!

We are lucky in this city that we now have a stellar sushi place. There are a few places now, but I will only eat at one. I know what day their shipment of fish comes in, and I plan my meals there accordingly.

I always order an assorted boat that has sashimi and maki. And I need my miso soup. My favorite sashimi is the salmon, or the butterfish. My favorite roll...hm...probably the rainbow maki or the spicy salmon.

LOVE SUSHI. LOVE.

I don't know if I would say I'm obsessed with sushi, but I absolutely love sushi. My favourite sashimi is the yellowtail ("buri" in Japanese) and tuna ("maguro" in Japanese), as well as the salmon. My favourie roll would have to be the spicy salmon roll. But then again, I love virtually all sushi and sashimi! ;)

It's weird because the only food that I consistently crave is sushi. I could eat sushi for every meal and I'd still want more. :)

And it's not just sushi, I also love sashimi, miso soup, green tea ice cream...Japanese food is amazing!

Is it just me, or is all the other sashimi better than the tuna? I don't like the tuna as much as the other types...But I will still eat it, no problem.

Like Samurai Joey up there, I love all sashimi and sushi. It's really difficult to pick just one.

I stick with sashimi; less carbs :D

My fave is the butterfish. I can eat pounds of the stuff.

Gotta lay off the soy sauce though. Too much sodium. LOL!

Best place in TO, IMO, is Kaji on the Queensway. Bit of a hole in the wall (and next to Elite Retreat!), but amazing stuff.

You should try fatty tuna at a really good place.... might be the best sashimi....

I'm not crazy obsessed as I am with sex (the flavors of salmon...), but;

I like California Rolls (crab & avacado), Philadelphia Rolls (Smoked salmon, cucumber and cream cheese strips) and Uni (Sea urchin).

This is all tasteless without Soy Sauce, Gari and Wasabi.

Tuna and salmon (sushi or sashimi) are my favourites. For more exotic, I love unagi (eel) and uni (sea urchin).

And I agree with Adrenaline that there's something sexy and sensual about women (especially non-Asian) who love sushi :)

Pretty much all Asian women love sushi, it doesn't matter if they're Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, or Philipino. Non-Asian women love sushi too but not to the same extent as Asian women, so when I find a non-Asian woman that loves sushi as much as me I just have to take her out for sushi, assuming that she's attractive and fit.

My favourite sushi is salmon followed by red tuna and my favourite type of maki is the red dragon roll followed by salmon and avocado rolls.

I'm glad I'm not a food connoisseur, I like the supermarket sushi just as well as what I'd find in a good restaurant.

I am from Vancouver and love Asian food(Chinese exempt). I have been on the hunt for good Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese to no avail. The food just doesn't compare to van. If anyone could point me in the direction of amazing Thai, sushi or pho I would really appreciate it.

Ps I'm Caucasian lol.

lol I can't eat grocery store sushi, even in a pinch. In all honesty, I would rather do without than eat sushi from the grocery store.

porcelianprincess: I don't think the sushi here can ever be as good as that in Vancouver, but you can have fun searching for the equivalent.

Sushi - Kaji Sushi (860 Queensway), Hiro (171 King St East), Ki (for the Gwei Lo, BCE Place)

Pho - Pho 88 (Spadina location is great; Yonge ST. location sucks ass; if at Spadina, chat up Michelle, the boss lady), Golden Turtle (Ossington) or Hanoi 3 Seasons (Queen East; you MUST try their fried clam appetizer!!!). Hanoi is my fave. Chef is a bona fide Viet grandma. Soup is the real thing, and no MSG.

Thai - Salad King (Gould at Yonge), Bankok Garden (18 Elm), Golden thai (Church)

Bon Appetit!

I've had great sushi in TO; comparable to Van restos, but the quality isn't nearly as consistent and it's much pricier.

Randygirl - not a fan of T&T? :D

obsessed with sushi ...

Used to be. I am actually trying to cut down on it, especially tuna... be it Maguro or a fat yummy piece of Bluefin Toro.

My fav ones are:

Aji, Kanpachi (seasonal),Sayori (seasonal), Hamachi ( sashimi preferred ) ... my mouth is watering as I am typing this.

Most sushi in Toronto are made by Chinese. Like 99% of it. It's second rate and a culinary blah IMO. When I hear about California rolls, grocery store sushi and 'all you can eat' sushi, i know the process of converting sushi to fast food status is on the way.

Regardless some of my favourites are fresh out of the shell uni, hotetegai and lobster.
