Toronto Police are trying to identify three suspects after officers were assaulted and spat on during a recent demonstration.

According to police, officers were at a demonstration early Wednesday evening in the Yonge St. and Front St. E. area where a group of protesters were gathered at an event outside Meridian Hall.

Police say the group tried to gain entry into the event and were removed by police.

One woman was arrested for assaulting a officer.

Following the arrest, cops say protesters became confrontational with officers who were working crowd control.

During the confrontation, police say one suspect spat at an officer and another suspect struck an officer.

Police say the protesters then went to a police station at Parliament St. and Front St. E. where the demonstrators became combative. Two suspects were arrested for assaulting officers.

Police say one suspect spat on an officer.

The first suspect is a man, 25 to 35 years old with a medium build. He was wearing a Boston Bruins jersey and a black Toronto Raptors hat.

The second suspect is a woman with a medium build and was wearing a red keffiyeh, black shirt and white shoes.

The third suspect is a woman with a medium build and was wearing a blue dress and eye glasses.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-3500 or call Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477).

Any bets on whether or not we will find out this was instigated by the cops and these people are being targeted for resisting harassment?
Resisting by spitting?

Resisting by spitting?
You don't think people spit on someone who is fucking with them?

I'm not saying that is actually what is going on here.

I just know enough not to take a police press release at its word in a case like this until more evidence comes out.

It may be exactly what the police describe.
But without more, I wouldn't commit to that.

Cops have started blocking them from shutting down some streets, its about time., so they spit at them. Same thing happened last night. but spitting is considered assault. No doubt I stand with the cops.

Spitting is 100% an assault and moreover, it cannot be claimed to be self defence like some other assaults.

As a Fatty McFatface I stand in donut shops, where cops also stand, so I guess I stand with cops. ;)

No, but it can also be in response to other action.

Like I said, I would wait until we have more information on what actually went down.

Yes, it's just Frank posting things from Twitter, but the narrative is already being challenged.
So wait and see.

Killing one’s wife for nagging or for asking for divorce is also a response to her action. What’s your point again?

My point is that you shouldn't trust the cops narrative of events until you get more evidence.

Spitting is absolutely assault.
It is also going to be viewed differently depending on context - just like every other assault.

if I am choosing between toronto police, trained and wearing body cams, and protesters hiding their faces in keffiyes, spitting at cops and successfully leaving the scene, I am pretty sure on which narrative I would place my bet

And I would say it is a coin flip at best until more information comes out.

The good odds are that the original cop statement is false.
The question is how false is it?
Is it just a bit massaged or is it wildly contradictory to reality?
Always hard to say.

The odds it is just flat-out true are VERY low, though, as I am sure you would agree.

So a group of Toronto police officers wearing cameras are dealing with the whiny protesters who would be entitled to the footage from the cameras when they are charged.
I’d say chances are very high that the officers would be trying to be as accurate as possible

I wouldn't.
But like I said, we just don't know, and we will see as the information comes out.

The numbers you spit out say that 20,000 were dead at the beginning of the year and 340,000 have died since. The protests are useless.
That's because its zionists who are doing the killing, Shazi, not protesters.

Looks like the cops started it again.
