Anyway, this is supposed to be a new precedent for Canadian and international law. Loser paid her for just one hour, and not the other six hours of work.

He just lost in Small Claims Court. For sure, other places you can be charged by police if you don't pay for services.

I’m confused. If purchasing sex services is illegal how can selling sex services be legal. For example, if [first] seller sells sex (legal) and [second] purchaser purchases sex (illegal), how does this become a legal contract?

Are there any legal experts that can explain without sending cuts and pastes of the criminal code?

I know that in reality LL and agencies are making the sale of sex providers’ services available. I just don’t get how the final transaction of the “donation” isn’t landing us hobbyists in prison. Especially with modern surveillance technology - it would like shooting fish in a barrel, catching hobbyists. Yet it ain’t happening, rather business is booming!
