I'm running Vista Home Prem Service Pack 1
The processor is an intel Core 2 CPU 6700 @ 2.66GHZ 2.67 GHz
2 GB of Ram
32-bit operating System
I keep getting graphic error (blue screen of death) and my system crashes whenever I try to watch a movie on media player or any other player for that matter.
The error is a NV4_mini.sys
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_ AREA
I do have the Discs that came with the computer such as the 'Vista Driver Upgrade Kit'
XFX Driver CD and Striker Motherboard Disc(NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI Support DVD Rev.276.03)
And according to my Device Manager when I click on Display adapters it displays NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS
My question is, in order to avoid this error and my system from crashing, what steps do I follow? I have the discs, do I need to upgrade and if so will I lose anything on my computer if I upgrade to avoid this issue?
I usually know what to do on the technical side of things with computers but this is different.
All help is appreciated. Thank you.
