Hi my Terbite friends. I have been away a while for health reasons but since my lobotomy the doctor says I'm all better. For those wondering , yes the movie is on track and we have done some pre production getting ready for the shoot.

I want to pose a question for you adventurous ones out there. Since I see many of you really enjoy the social parties I wonder if any other social activities may grab your fancy.

Myself I am fully addicted to downhill skiing and think it is one of the best social things a group of people can do while socializing and having incredible fun. Those of you who ski know what I am talking about, All levels of skiing is fun, from the first day you go and on.

I have turned on many people to this
sport..sorry ,..lifestyle..and it has changed many peoples enthusiasm for
winter . You dont have to be a world cup skier to enjoy. Anyone can benifit from a social fun day on the slopes.

What I am proposing is to find out how many would be interested in a ski day for Terbites. First we'll see how many ski or want to ski. Then we can decide where to go for the day and whether to meet, car pool or get a bus and ski all day and party at the hill.

Then if it really takes off maybe a ski weekend in lake Placid. Its only 6 hours from Yonge and davisville and they have heated gondolas to take you up to the top. Even beginers can have a blast at Lake Placid.

OK some of you are going to be afraid of the big Crocodiles you saw a really crappy movie called Lake Placid. that's a different ficticious Lake Placid in New Hampshire. The real lake Placid is in New Yor State, 90 minutes south of Cornwall Ont. I will post some pics and give you URL soon.

Please respond if you are interested in a local ski day first and we will see about a few of us organizing a trip.

Sorry if I forgot to include (must talk different now) Snow borading dude like yah , its really rad and knarly heyey dude , catch some radical air.man , get with the cool vibes.. Snowboarders are a different breed of ...people and they are very welcome to come along and "shredd" the day.

Those beginers can take a lesson to get started, and then do the big jumps in the afternoon.

So exciting adventurous terbites, who is up for skiing??

You know I find that on a ski hill , you only find very positive and exciting people, so its a very up experience.

thank you for your time.

(we'll talk about scuba diving another time)

ski day

it's entirely possable that i would have a slight interest in this idea. keep me posted ( no pun intended) . Weekdays are great at blue mountain, or ellicotville ny. Moonstone/mount st louis are also workable and are great for beginners.

Let me know what I can do to help.

Ski pants are god's gift to the female backside.

I think a ski trip is a great idea!

However, I think you are being overly optimistic in planning a Lake Placid trip. Perhaps a day trip to one of the local mountains, with the option of securing overnight accommodations? Those on a low budget or short leash could still attend, those with deeper pockets and more time could enjoy a bit of apres ski festivities.

It would only take 40-50 people to make a TERB Bus possible.

I don't know if you can call what I do skiing...it's more of a downhill tumbling routein!
Whiteface MT. is a great place to ski for all levels. The sights are incredible and you can even do the bobsled run at the olympic park while your there!
Highly reccomended!

skiers Hey?

well looks like there seems to be some interest already, like I said those who ski are a livley bunch, and if this is a community of sorts, then why not do parties and other things. Skiing will give us something to talk about at the parties. "remember when daty-man wiped out in the lift line ? wow that was awesome"

Skierman, thanks for the encouragment we will definetely need help in organization. Muffin mincher, you can bring the muffins for breakfast, Bboy, you can tumble with us all the way down, and for those who dont know , Whiteface mountain is at Lake Placid, my favourite place, no crocodiles,
wazzzup, great, you can keep asking us wazzzuuuppp every few minutes , well count you in

godfather, (kisses hand)
you can bring the provelone and prosciuti and panini and get us a deal we cant refuse. Combare
(does sign of the cross)

so any more wanna ski Terbites,
this will start a new trend to keep us excited in the winter and alive for the
providers and mpa's who will welcome the enthusiasm.
Ladies , this will give you a chance to knock us dead in your snow bunny ski suits..... mmmmm

What's this about snowboarders???? maybe some of us have learned to master the art of skiing and decided to move on to new and more adventurous paths...*ahem*
Unlike some skiiers that seem to be overly arrogant, snowboarders as a group are much less pompous! A friendly and welcoming group that may even share ;)

No Skiier man, seeing as I am a fairhaired maiden I just showed those gnarly boarding boys some cleavage and they caved immediately! And that's how I got my board....;)

Skiing Day Trip - December 30th

OK, while we're on the topic, is there any interest in a day trip somewhere within an hour or two of Toronto for Monday December 30th? I will be in town, would love to go if a few others are interested.

PS.. I ski, I dont snowboard, in case it matters.

Definite Maybe

I might be interested. I haven't gotten out for a couple of years but would love to this year. Won't know about the 30th until I get my work schedule though. Have to see what funds are left after Christmas too...
