Textnow, is the paid version worth it?

I know the paid versions of texting apps avoid the advertising, but do they preform any better? Lately I’ve had a few instances of missing messages, that were sent to me but never came through, on the free version of Textnow. Does anyone have any experience with upgrading to the paid version?

I would never pay for a texting app.
They are dime a dozen.

It is not worth it.

When you get the pop up notification but the message doesn’t actually come in, hard close to app and re-open.
