When someone is giving something away, it's likely TGTBT in my books.
I have received 3 emails on different occasions from someone in my contact list, and I'm on hers.
message as follows

XXXXXX@XXXXXXX.ca, I just got a new Dell XPS 1530 laptop to test out and keep without paying a cent. I'm sure this wont last long, they are only sending out a limited supply of promo laptops in our city so you should hurry. It is awesome, Here is the site

Most likely just a spam scam.

Post the link and us Linux guys can test it out for you since even if it has any nasty stuff attached it can't harm a PC running Linux....;)
