If you have asked me for information and I have not replied its because of the thankless job it is. I reply to pms with a detailed response not even to get a thank you. If someone goes out of there way to give you info the least you can do is say thank you. What has happened to manners thise days.

Well said. At the very least, people can just say "Thanks in advance". Of course, a proper thank-you is always appreciated.

One should always say thank you or thx. The best way to show your appreciation after you have received an informative PM is to give back detail information that the sender might seek for.

I never respond to pm's I get unless the person says "thanks" or "your help is greatly appreciated". If they are very rude and display no maners I give them completely inaccurate information.

Not that I get a ton of requests for info, but I have to agree that when I do, most, not all, do not subsequently extend thanks.
