This summer I booked a call at Queens Quay in Toronto. Very difficult booking. Took 8 phone calls. Got the address finally and apt number from a very ditzy SP and my cell phone died when I tried to call back to get the buzzer code. A long story. No pay phone in sight so I said screw it and drove back to Kitchener. It happens. I took the time and called the SP back the next day to advise what the problem was but .. I'd be pissed if my phone number was published on a public forum like this because of a dead cell.
Is it just me or does anyone else have an issue with publishing the guys phone number ?? He must have shook you up pretty good Spice and I'm sure you are being generous with the "pretty rude" comment but I personally think it's a violation of his privacy. Granted he should lose that right if he threatened you but if he was just rude, I feel publishing his number is not justified.
I'm sure you wouldn't have posted it if it wasn't a safety issue so I can understand in this case but there has got to be a better way to handle this stuff people. Spice has been around for awhile and I think we all trust her judgement but there has got to be a better way than this don't you think ??
How about a thread on terb where the ladies can post this stuff invisible (and in more detail) that can in-turn automatically PM all the SPs who subscribe to the thread if a threat truly exists rather than publically publishing addresses or phone numbers. I totally agree with safety first and justification here based on your reputation but there is a right to privacy that we all have to adhere to as well. We all have a right to it.
Let the flames begin people but I think that the guys have as much right to privacy as the ladies .. Sorry Spice .. JMHO
