Did anyone notice how many tickets were given out to all those people parked on the grass along Lakeshore towards Ontario Place?

What gives? I mean, if all the parking lots are full where the hell else are people gonna park?

Can't the fucking parking services leave 'em alone for one fucking day?

Wow!, that's the City of Toronto for you.

People from all walks of life come out to celebrate Canada Day to unite only to receive a ticket at the end of the day.

Are you kidding....haven't you noticed lately that the City of Toronto is continously coming up with new ideas for cash grabs. Look at the latest one, the downtown clubs have to pay a tax for the people that line up on the sidewalk in front of their establishment.
You think they'll let it slip for a day, not a chance.

Fine for Standing

You are kidding about night clubs right?
I am not from TO.
Not only do clubs tell me I can't come in because I am not pretty enough. But no THEY (CLUBS) have to pay for me for standing inline at the sidewalk.

Well to me that looks like income. I want my share of this fine. Where do I go to collect?

Oh btw if you Think TO is bad for parking you should try Oakville and Burlington. You can't visit a friend overnight because there is only a 3 hour time limit. That is if you find the spot i the new subdivisions.

You think that's bad? During that last big storm we had a tree fell on top of a car whose owner had parked it there while they unloaded the groceries. It was in a no parking zone. They called the city about 20 times to get someone to come and cut the tree up so they could tow the car but the city was so backed up, they wouldn't get to it for a week.

Well, they ticketed it. The green hornet had to move branches and debris out of the way in order to stick the ticket under the wiper blade.....

BTW: another interesting tidbit for you: toronto has more ticket agents per capita than any other city in North America...including New York City.....in fact, it was quoted to me that we have more ticket agents than regular police officers....

But only a few of them actually speak English. They must work on commission.

You ain't kidding.

At the site I'm currently working at there is NO place to park until 10 am (even tho everywhere else in the city you can park downtown after 9) Even the fricken side streets are permit only until 10 am.

So last week I see the green hornet go onto the main thorough fare to ticket people there (they go on the side street first). I look at my watch and it's 9 minutes to 10......so I think, I'm safe right?

NO fucking way, I saw the asshole drive east on the main street but he must have driven around the block after seeing me in his rear view mirror because he gave me a ticket at 7 minutes to 10...that's just fucking wrong.....it's a god damn side street for christ's sake.....

Boss Hogg, Mayor of Toronto, has ordered Roscoe P. Coltrane, chief of police, to equip every officer with movable fire hydrants!
