The recent short-lived doo wop postings in the Black Music thread fizzled out.

Understandably, as I imagine most terb members are way too young to have heard much doo wop music, which was primarily released in the 1950's and early 1960's

But I know a few of us do love doo wop music, so here is a dedicated thread.

I will post a lot of songs, but I invite others to join in with contributions, of course.

This time I will start with well-known classics that hopefully will win over some of the uninitiated...

Robert...Doug and the Slugs was a solid group, with numerous hits....and their vids were always top notch

This song reminds me of Stir It Up, recorded by Bob Marley and Jonnny Nash among others....so Reggae/ Do wop sound ..lol

imho...this is one of the greatest songs in the past 70 years.....fell in love with it in my teens, listening to WUFO from Buffalo when it played some "oldie goldies".....and My True Story ranks right up there as well
