This season it is more like survivor New York.

I thought Trump was very smart last week, this week he let the girls bamboozle him.

Absolutely, Stacey J is the right pick.

Who wan't the dejevu all over again? Remember Omarosa?

I can't understand why Raj is still around. He's farking annoying. He reminds me of Sam during the first season.

The last thing Trump really wants is another Trump impersonator!!

BTW, who's going to win?

I suspect Andy, the Harvard rookie and Pamela will be around for final showdown. Kevin has an advantage because no offense he is black and the last thing Trump really wants is non-affirmative action...as long as Kevin does not drop the ball big time.

I'll bet Trump is looking forward to saying: Ivana you are fired! (without it costing him millions as it did last time)

No, it should be,

READ MY LIPS, SH*THEAD, YOU ARE FIRED!!!

Seriously I find many bosses nowadays are feeling high after lashing these words. In their minds, what's better than destroying and squashing other's living like a bug?

It's like boosting your ego faster than snorting the cocaine!

I missed last week, did Bradford (guy volunteered to go to the ladies team) get the boot?

Yes, he's stupid to wave the immunity/exemption or something. He should have Stacy to get the boot instead of putting his ass on the line.

See when you play and pretend to be a "nice guy" who takes the charge, the result is too predictable..... YOU ARE FIRED! both on the job and dating.

Few women will shed the crocodile tears and show sympathy to a guy who is brave enough to "face the music".

Funny to see those bunches of women at the team Apex got "disoriented", "shocked" and "sad" when their man, the team manager was fired. That's the phoniest and crappiest piece of dung I have ever seen.

The apprentice candidates are not making friends. Each use, shrewedness, sniping, deceit, back stabbing and what not to put one against each other or divide and conquer so that he or she will be the second apprentice.

Who's going in charge without Bradford? What are we going to do at team Apex?

Give me a break! Those chicks and the team will recover without a sweat!

Why is this show a hit - it is completely unreal and stupid. This is the group that represents the best young minds of Corporate America??
Damn business is going to suffer.

Welcome to the reality, New York style!

There is no doubt each candidate represents the best America has to offer (look at their credentials, resume-way better than those in season 1) but I suspect the reality is much nasty and worse than the one we watch the so-called the "reality" show.

BTW, the way those people do business is just a tip of the iceberg. You never know there's more "unrealistic", "stupid" and "wacko" ideas flowing around, except many of those will never see the end of the day.

And, these guys and gals need to think out of the box and "outragious" enough so that each can "impress" Donald how "entrepreneurial", "creative" and "street smart" he or she can really be....in a very, very tight assignment/project deadline.

I'm feeling in a charitable mood this morning.
I don't think Mark Burnett and company necessarily picked the best and the brightest the US has to offer (including the B-schools).
I think they were looking for characters for a reality play. You sort of create the scene (NYC, exotic island, boxing ring) and then cast the characters to make it interesting.
My sympathy goes to the Donald who ends up having to hire one of them in the end.
Except a few of the women would be pleasant to look at for a year.
;)

I agree that the Apprentice is a bit contrived (I would not go as far as to say "unrealistic"), but it is easily the best reality show on television. Personally I like the fact that the players on the show can all be pegged into stereotypes or amalgams of people I have met while working in business over the years.

You have Pamela, the icy, aloof, blonde. Hell, I know that type. Wes, the cocky, confident sales type. Andy, the young hotshot. Ivana, the highly intelligent but easily flustered type. I've worked with them all. An interesting facet of this show is that the teams are given corporate type tasks to be completed as a team, but I would say 90% of the contestants on the show have never worked within the context of a team. They are all entrepreneurial types, which is a good quality to have, but it doesn't necessarily make you a good teammate.

Anyway, the chicks... personally, I like Elizabeth. I think she has a very pretty face. I also kinda like little Stacy, I like her shyness and her size... a real spinner. I do not think Ivana is hot. Once again, I think she is someone for Asian lovers only.

You figure?! All of these so-called "reality" shows are fake. They are scripted from start to finish. What you are watching is a soap opera, and confusing it with real life.

I used to have a landlady who was perhaps the only person in the world who refused to believe that wrestling was fixed. Watching her get upset when the "bad" guy won was a hoot!

Although I am not niave enought to believe that some of the Apprentice is staged however I did cling to the belief that as much as Donald was sensationalizing himself in the process, the firings were based on rational evaluations of the performances put forth by the teams in each of the task. However last week when Donald fired Bradford, arguably the best on his team, because he felt secure enough to waive his imunity showed that this show is pure sensationalism. You could see George and Carolyn's perspectives changing through the boardroom cerimony and they were obviously told to support Trumps decission to shock everyone by firing Bradford.

I now refuse to watch this show becuase script or not, Trump undermined the premise of the 15 week intense interview and showed he makes decissions based on a whim. :(

If the big Business Schools are producing people like this then we are all screwed.
I've taught business students in three countries. IMHO these guys are actually better then what Business Schools are producing! The worse thing about business students is that they actually believe they are good and thus often (not always) develop a real attitude problem. Of course, I am generalizing.

Having spent 25 years in large US corporations, I find shows like Survivor and The Apprentice fascinating, because they do show elements of corporate america, namely that popularity and alliances are more important than results, i.e. the Survivor method of voting, and the last Apprentice show where the girls effectively voted off a capable person, and left the ones who screwed up.
I also enjoy immensely seeing George and Carolyn changing their views to match Trump's within a microsecond of Trump announcing his decision.

Me too. I was the master at that, back when I did the old corporate grind. "Great idea, boss!" "Good point, boss!" "Have you lost weight, boss?"

Hey, whatever gets your paycheck signed, right?

Oops! Well, I sounded more naive than I had hoped.

By contrived, I meant, we are only shown the sequences and conversations that advance the storyline which the producers want to give you. Perhaps contrived is not the right word.
