"the put my feet to sleep" one is what I was looking for first, the man knows absolutely nothing about sports outside of the mentioned ones, he is all the business side, is arrogant for zero reason at all I guess it brings listeners and would last 5 seconds in any major American market, just listen to ESPN and it is another galaxy the broad knowledge any of their program hosts have. Also the hate on soccer is hilarious, it is the only sport in North America that seems to have media types make it official their hatred of it, along with Jim Rome (another guy who is just brutal to listen to douche) McCown is one of these people.
I respectfully disagree. I find he blends wit, intelligence, humour, and experience in proper amounts, especially when compared to other sports broadcasters. To answer some of the others criticism, I think he is a sports observer not a sports geek. Someone like Mike Wilner strikes me as a sports(baseball specifically) geek. Don't get me wrong I enjoy listening to Wilner, but in measured amounts.
