Just wanted to relay some info passed on by a friend.
He was driving in Vanier (Montreal Rd area) yesterday checking out the talent. It was slow as it was raining and he saw just one cow wandering around but he spotted one unusually nice looking girl in front of a building on Montreal Rd trying to stay dry. She was checking out the cars as if she was looking for a "date". He wisely waited to see if she would move on as he knew not to stop for a girl that stays in one place.
Shortly after he saw her on a corner on one of the side streets and then saw her walking down the road. A good sign, she wasn't staying put or in view of backup, so he started thinking of picking her up. Again he spotted her on another corner on a side road and that's when he decided not to pick her up.
Why not? He noticed she was continually talking on a cell phone. Now some girls may have one and make a call now and then but this good looker was on it nonstop. Between the phone and the too good to be true looks he passed and headed out of the area, as it was slow due to the rain. Nothing worth staying for.
As he was waiting to turn onto Montreal he noticed LE pulled up behind him, just 2 blocks after he decided to pass on Miss Cellphone. LE followed him onto Montreal and pulled him over. LE said he did nothing wrong, just doing a routine check and asked what he was doing in the area. After checking insurance LE said have a good evening.
Being no dummy he left and concluded that the looker reported his location and license to the cruiser who then pulled him over. Message given and taken. The heat is still on for street action, at least in Vanier.
I've talked to a few girls who've said that LE has been particularly attentive to the street action lately, as indicated by the recent sting ops. Let's hope when they decide what services to cut to keep the tax hike down this improves. But for now I'd rather be safe then sorry.
