The High Price Of Impotency!!

W

Willywants

Got a shock this morning!!
Dropped the wife off at work and stopped tp pick up a pack of cigs on the way back home!
$8.00 friggin dollars!
I have been smoking since I was 20, old enough to know better, but for 42 years I have been sucking back cancer sticks in total defiance of the odds!
Never have I paid more than $7.50 for a pack of 25, and that in Newfoundland!
They say smoking can cause impotency. Well, it hasn't affected me in that way, but perhaps it has dulled some senses and kept a raging sex drive somewhat in check! Smoking has also been a means of keeping my mouth focused on something other than, well, you know what I mean!!!
Pure economics suggest that now is the time to quit. But what does one do with ones mouth with all this new found free time??
If I banked the money saved by not smoking, I wonder how long it would take to save enough for an encounter with a wonderful SP who could then occupy a sadly neglected mouth!
Damn the Gov't and their sin tax!
Ladies, don't even think of a sin tax on Daty! What would all of us considering quitting smoking do then???

Willywants (to quit smoking and start dining out more!)

well if you need something in your mouth at a reasonable price I'd recommend gum. Everybody I know that smokes is pissed off at the new prices, I think a lot more store owners in this city are going to be getting shot now.

your welcome

just think about my little quote at the bottom a little and you'll get another peak (sure I didn't write it, it's Stephen Sondheim from "Sweeny Todd", but I do love that musical)

The Wrong Company!!!

Hey Gramage!
What crowd are you running with???? Lol!
Where does one start??

I figure that within two weeks there will be another very active smuggling operation! Orchestrated, condoned and probably run by the tobacco manufacturers!

theatre people, hands down the most disturbed group not entirely in prison. Hell one of Canada's best playwrights of the last 20 years has plays called "chainsaw love" and (one of my favorites) "unidentified human remains and the true nature of love"
we are a sick group of people and very proud of it.

Alternatives!!

Sounds like a group that likes to smoke something else!!

May try to quit...

"Ouch!" That's what I said when I went into a laundry mat location I know in The Annex who is well known for selling cheap cigs. $7.00 for a large. Last week he was selling the same for $5.50. Some friends of mine told me they have paid as much as $8.00 or $8.50! I can just imagine how much they'll be at SCs now. Yikes. No way. At $8.00 a pak - for me a pak a day weekdays and two paks a day weekends = $72 a week , $288 a month , $3,744 a year! I am seriously considering trying to quit.

My God!!!

But then, did it ever really go away!!

Bhoo Zhoo to you too old Brave!!
I would have said old Chief, but I know you don't like the notariety!!

NO JOKE

Willywants:

What would you rather have - a functioning cock or cheap cigarettes. Take it from someone who wasn't smart enough to quit soon enough. If they have to remove your prostate, and guess what they will, there's an 80% chance you will be impotent. Even if you can get it up with viagra or an injection of papaverine, the sensation will be mostly gone. Reattaching the nerves after they remove the prostate is a microsurgical process
and largely a matter of luck. Guess what, orgasm if you can get it may turn out to be painful rather than pleasureable. Think of someone putting a blowtorch to the head of your cock.
This is if your operation is a success. If it isn't you'll be wearing a
bag or a diaper.

Keep smoking as long as you want. Just don't joke about impotence. The joke is likely to be on you.

Cigarette smokers are still a net toll on society with their health care costs. I imagine they have to be $25 a pack to pay for all that expensive cancer treatment. Oh I do smoke the odd cigarette too.

maybe iguana, but couldn't the same thing be said about everyone who lives in thus city, choosing to breath this toxic air. aren't we also asking for cancer?

eggman, sure you can't choose not to breath but you can choose where you live, and people are choosing to live in huge cities with air just as toxic as the cigarette (the irony is that laws requiring smokers to stay outside are going to kill them even younger, which will of course will br used to say how bad smoking is).
Honestly I think that a lot od the anti smoking stuff is pure propaganda. Cancer doesn't need people to smoke, everyone will die of cancer unless something else gets it first, but if you've ever smoked then a doctor wont look for any other cause. I have a friend who has had a problem with a serious cough for a long time that he is convinced is not connected to his smoking, but his doctor will not look for any other cause, the idea that anything other then smoking could cause this illness is beyond him, becasue smoking is the root of all evil after all (where as equally toxic drinking is perfectly acceptable)

That's a neat rationalization but patently unreasonable. The toxic pollutants in the air outside are nowhere near so concentrated and maybe not even so varied as in the cigarette smoke that you suck directly into your lungs. Yuck! No chance at all for any poisonous substances to be diluted.

Of course every one will die of something. We can however, behave in ways that change the odds about when and how. Something that increases the chances of your death being both premature and from cancer is not my idea of a fun habit. Guess it is for others. It's every smoker's call.

but regardless of what people think of smoking, doesn't the idea of a sin tax bother anyone else? what is the standard for something to be taxed extra for being sinful? if it's recreational drugs, shouldn't coffee and sugar be taxed more as well? causing health problems that we'll have to pay for? fast food would cost a fortune! what is the standard and the logic behind the sin tax?

No Joke!

Hey Clipper!
I am not ignorant of, nor insensitive to the fact of prostate cancer or impotency!
What we choose to do with or how we choose to neglect our bodies is very much a personal thing! I am fully aware of what I may be doing to myself and my future existence!
Tempting fate by committing a number of "sins" seems to be very much a part of my make up!
Yes!! I may rue the day I ever started smoking! I may one day kick myself in the ass for not quitting when all things sensible dictate I should!
I have tried! I do intend to keep trying!
In the mean time, if you think I made too light of the potential consequences of smoking, my apologies!
The thread was directed at me and not meant to lighten the concerns towards those who have experienced the negative effects!
Evidently you are one of those who has and you speak from experience!
Continue surviving!!
Who knows?? I may not!!
