The article was very informative, but I think at this point "clearing Ryerson's name" (or at least presenting all the available facts) will best be accomplished after an ill considered name change...

I also read something about Dundas. It said that the agreement to end slavery would not have gone through if Dundas did not put in a clause to delay it.

I have no issue with adding a plaque to the statues of divisive figures to give people a clearer picture of who they were. Churchill, Sir John A, every king / queen, Ryerson etc.

The wage gap is bullshit when you compare like with like. The Globe and Mail [sometimes] the Economist, even the New York Times have reported on it but it's a concept that refuses to die.
Black Lives Matter is bullshit. Blacks are 2.5 times [or more] likely to commit serious crimes, so their 2.5 times more likely to encounter the police and get shot is not a sign of systemic racism. Also many of the narratives they tell are also lies. Don't shoot is one of them, shot for wearing a hoodie is another flat out lie as is the basic idea that random protesters seem to believe of cops going around randomly shooting down black guys when even the cases BLM pound upon are of criminals not listening to Chris Rock's advice and doing shit that would get a white person killed.

I am not going to hold my breath waiting for Ryerson to be rehabilitated.
