I don't see the fuss about saying Merry Christmas. If I go to a Jewish guys business and he has a big sign saying Happy Channukah or Happy Passover or whatever, doesn't bother me one bit. Same as if I go to an East Indian business and he's got his Diwali decorations all over the place, he wishes me a Happy Diwali and I wish it back to him. Whats the big deal? The only people who make a big fuss about saying Merry Christmas are Christian pussies.

That's complete nonsense. First of all, there is no such agent as "society." Second, the only legal issue is the separation of church and state. Individual nutcase atheists who agitate to remove Xian symbolism from shopping malls and other private sites are nothing to do with this. Third, the "rules" for greetings are simple courtesy and good manners. If you greet an orthodox rabbi or imam with "Merry Christmas!," you're rude--just like someone who greets a Catholic priest with "Allah u' akhbar!"pblues said:

It woould appear to me that the fear of Christmas' disappearance is a bit premature. We have been bombarded with Christmas messages, Cristmas songs, Santa Clauses etc etc for more than a month now.
Seriously, Christmas lives and is well. And Santa Claus seems to have lived another year without a heart attack.
