For the love of Jesus, I will not say anything bad to you, but, you may kiss your own ass!!!!maxweber said:And to all who pretend to love Jesus, but for whom it's really nothing but a pretext to make everyone else miserable by repressing sexuality, destroying scientific knowledge, and poisoning rational debate:

Come on, now; go for it! How 'bout some bilge about the Rapture®? That's all about revenging yourself on "them," isn't it? Or some childish fairy tales about hellfire? No? Not even a lusty shout of "God is not mocked"?wadsab said:For the love of Jesus, I will not say anything bad to you, but, you may kiss your own ass!!!!
God's name isn't "God". But Merry Christmas and all the best to the creator and the creator before the creator and the creator before that creator and the creator before that creator, etc., etc., etc., and etc., etc., etc., it is Willie Wonkapapasmerf said:"Spewing nonsense"
Well, maybe not about the talking snake; that's the only possible explanation for why I bought my first used car!scouser1 said:and i am with Maxweber on this one lets not science, debate and rationality be overcome with stories about people being created from dirt, given life through a divine breath and having lived in a garden with a talking snake.
It's a shame that society in some cases has made it taboo to say "Merry Christmas". The intention is to wish the person good health and fortune.papasmerf said:To all those who hate Jesus and disavow him as God's Son

That's complete nonsense. First of all, there is no such agent as "society." Second, the only legal issue is the separation of church and state. Individual nutcase atheists who agitate to remove Xian symbolism from shopping malls and other private sites are nothing to do with this. Third, the "rules" for greetings are simple courtesy and good manners. If you greet an orthodox rabbi or imam with "Merry Christmas!," you're rude--just like someone who greets a Catholic priest with "Allah u' akhbar!"pblues said:It's a shame that society in some cases has made it taboo to say "Merry Christmas". This is the Christianity of Falwell--who blamed 9/11 on tolerance of homosexuality; Robertson--who called for the murder of Hugo Chavez; and Bush--who, is, well, Bush. This is Christianity completely denuded of the golden rule, a form of nihilism instead of a religion.bbking said:Being Christian, I have to ask - what the hell does this post have in common with any Christian teachings.
