I do not expect climate change believer have to quit
consuming gas entirely. With political leaders it
is acceptable to travel by private jets in some
instances. It certainly would be a security nightmare
for the POTUS to fly commercial on an official visit
oversea.

Outside their job I think it is not too much to expect
public figures who are openly pro-climate-change
to show the decency of walking the talk in their
private lives.

Actually, it's way too much to ask them.to sacrifice anything. You honestly believe that the "blue bloods" like Kerry want to fly commercial? What if he were to bump into one of them deplorables? The climate might be important to them, maybe even they truly believe in all that claptrap, but their entitlements, superiority and arrogance clearly trump the existential crisis. Hence, it's not an existential crisis at all.
