You know what really sucks? I wish I was shocked more. I read an article about child sex trafficking that involved kids as young as four.

They never went to school, were moved back and forth over the US/Mexican border, and one girl, now 16, I believe, told the reporter they were divided into groups depending on how marketable their looks were, or how dark their skin was.

The one group all the children feared going into was the 'damaged' group. The men who bought these kids were allowed to do absolutely anything they wanted with these kids - sex, torture - anything. And the kids in that group inevitably had the darkest skins.

Reading through that article - and it was an extensive piece of journalism - made me want to buy a gun, line up the people responsible for these horrendous events and shoot them.

Again, and again, and again.

I have 2 daughters age 11 and 13 and this kind of news just makes me want to cry. This extreme side appals me especially - but not much more than when I see 15 and 16 year olds who are willing parties -- who just want to be left alone. These are also "damaged" kids. The ones who's lives were so unstructured and unsupervised that they were left alone to play with whatever fire they could get their hands on. And what of their clients? What is their major malfunction? As adults they should have been raised with a sense of responsibility to protect kids, not take advantage of them when they are willing to submit.
