Diversity festival my ass. Poor Germans, they tried to help migrants. No wonder the extreme right is surging. The Muslim terrorist wanted to make whites and Christians pay for what happens in the Middle East. Isis took responsibility for the the attack.

At the time of the attack in Fronhof Square, in the center of Solingen, thousands of people were attending a concert.
At least 3 people were stabbed to death at a “diversity festival” in Solingen, a city in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany in what German police are calling a terrorist attack.

According to German media outlet BILD, eyewitnesses say the perpetrator, who was an “Arab-looking man” and remains at large, started stabbing people indiscriminately.

According to reports, the three fatalities were a woman and two men, while police stated there were eight injured, four of whom are in serious condition.

According to the German Diplomatic Police, responsible for diplomatic missions in the country, no Greek citizens are among the victims.

At the time of the terrorist attack in Fronhof Square, in the center of Solingen, thousands of people were attending a concert.
The events of the “Festival for Diversity,” held to mark the 650th anniversary of the city’s founding, were expected to draw at least 80,000 people throughout the three-day celebration.

Today, Saturday, August 24th, the streets are almost empty, with police roadblocks and cordons in place across much of the city as the search for the suspect continues.

The remainder of the festival was canceled shortly after the fatal attack last night.
According to the newspaper Bild, the SEK (Special Deployment Commando) arrested a man early this morning in his parents’ apartment after receiving information from a witness who recognized the suspect from a previous crime. However, the man was later released as it was determined he was not the perpetrator of yesterday’s attack.

Syrian Asylum Seeker Arrested over Mass Stabbing Attack at German ‘Festival of Diversity’

According to German tabloid Bild, he came up to a patrol car and said: “I am the one you are looking for.” He reportedly hid in a backyard to evade detection while the day-long police manhunt was underway.

During the attack, which took place in the city centre of Solingen at a “festival of diversity” as the city celebrated its 650th anniversary, three people were stabbed to death and six others were wounded, including four with life-threatening wounds.

The attacker was said to have specifically targeted his victim’s necks, leading to speculation that it was terror-related.

Der Spiegel reports that Issa al H. was born in Syria, in the city of Deir al-Zor, before coming to Germany in 2022 as an asylum seeker. Last year, he was granted protection, allowing him to remain in the country as a result of the civil war in his homeland.

He was reportedly not known to security authorities as an Islamic extremist, however, he is said to be a Sunni Muslim.

It was claimed that, according to witness statements gathered by police, the attacker had shouted out the Jihadi war cry “Allahu Akbar” as he carried out the attack on the diversity festival.

Meanwhile, Bild reported that an Islamic State (ISIS) branch claimed responsibility for Friday’s attack, saying that it was intended as revenge for “Muslims in Palestine”.

French police arrest suspect over fire attack on synagogue
French police have arrested a suspect over an arson attack on a synagogue after a shootout in which the man was wounded, investigative sources told French media on Sunday. The blaze in the southern French city of la Grande-Motte slightly injured a policeman when a gas bottle exploded as police secured the site of the attack on Saturday morning.

French police have arrested a man suspected of trying to set a synagogue ablaze in the southern French city of la Grande-Motte on Saturday, Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin said.

About 200 police officers had been hunting for the suspect, Prime Minister Gabriel Attal said earlier, adding that the attacker had set fire to several entry doors to the synagogue and several cars nearby.

BFM TV said the suspect was a 33-year-old Algerian. Local police declined to give details.

The anti-terrorism prosecutor's office, which was put in charge of the investigation, said early on Sunday that a suspect had been arrested in Nîmes on Saturday evening.

"Before the police could intervene, (the suspect) opened fire on the (police), which returned fire. The man was wounded in the face," the office said in a statement, adding that two other people were taken into custody.

A policeman was slightly injured when a gas bottle exploded as police secured the site of the attack on Saturday morning, Attal said.

"This is an antisemitic attack. Once more, our Jewish compatriots are targeted," Attal said on X. "In the face of antisemitism, in the face of violence, we will never allow ourselves to be intimidated."

After visiting the synagogue, Attal said an "absolute tragedy" had been narrowly averted after firefighters and police arrived quickly at the scene.

Local media reported earlier that the suspect had set fire to two cars, one of which contained at least one gas bottle, in the synagogue's parking area at about 8:30 a.m. (0630 GMT).

Police protection of synagogues, and Jewish schools and shops would be stepped up across France, the government said.

France, like other countries in Europe, has seen a surge in antisemitic incidents following the Hamas attack on Israel on Oct. 7 and Israel's retaliatory assault on Gaza.

Le Parisien, franceinfo and other media said the suspect had been seen on CCTV shortly before the attack with a Palestinian flag tied round his waist.

"Exploding a gas bottle in a car in front of the Grande Motte synagogue at the expected time of arrival of the faithful: it's not just attacking a place of worship, it's an attempt to kill Jews," Yonathan Arfi, who leads the CRIF, an umbrella organisation of French Jewish groups, said on X.

La Grande-Motte is a port and resort city on the French Mediterranean coast.

Germany Mass Stabbing Suspect Had Deportation Order But Was Not Removed: Report

The Syrian asylum seeker suspected of killing three and injuring several others at a “festival of diversity” in Germany on Friday reportedly had a deportation order last year, but authorities failed to remove him from the country.

According to information obtained by German paper of record Die Welt, 26-year-old Issa Al H., the Syrian asylum seeker who surrendered himself to police on Saturday after the mass stabbing in Solingen, was supposed to be deported in 2023.

The suspected terrorist had a removal date scheduled to have him sent to Bulgaria, the country where he first entered the European Union, and therefore, under the Dublin regulations, the country where he should have had his asylum claims processed.

However, following his deportation order, Issa Al H. disappeared from his residence in the Western German city of Paderborn. He re-appeared several months later, but rather than removing him, he was reportedly granted “subsidiary protection” for people from countries with civil wars and transferred to a refugee centre in Solingen, where Friday’s attack took place.

While the suspect was apparently not on the radar of police for extremist leanings, the so-called Islamic State (ISIS) claimed responsibility for the attack in Solingen, claiming that it was intended as an act of revenge against “Christians” for “Muslims in Palestine and around elsewhere.”

The alleged knifeman is also reported to have shouted out the jihadist war cry “Allahu Akbar” during Friday’s attack on the diversity festival, which saw three people killed and eight others injured, including four with life-threatening wounds. The suspected terrorist is said to have specifically targeted the necks of his victims.

The attack has led to increased pressure on the leftist government coalition of Chancellor Olaf Scholz to crack down on mass migration and ramp up deportations.

The leader of the centre-right Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party, Friedrich Merz, called for the government to begin deportations to Syria and Afghanistan, which have been halted over safety concerns, and to stop accepting asylum seekers from the countries.

“It’s enough,” Merz wrote, saying: “After the terrorist act in Solingen, it should now be finally clear: it is not the knives that are the problem, but the people who run around with it… In the majority of cases, these are refugees, in the majority of the deeds, there were Islamist motives behind them.”

The CDU leader also called on the government to immediately revoke residence status for any alleged asylum seeker who travels back to their home country after it was revealed that many so-called refugees from Afghanistan had vacationed in their homeland despite supposedly needing asylum from the country.

However, while the centre-right party has been out of power since the end of 2021, some have still cast blame on the party given its role, under former leader Angela Merkel, for “opening the gates” to mass migration from the Middle East and Africa in 2015 and sparking the Europe Migrant Crisis. A sign placed at the memorial in Solingen sarcastically quipped, “Thank you, Angela Merkel Party Greens”.

The incident occurred at a madrasa in Korangi, where the teacher, identified as Qari Hanan, assaulted the child, Muaz, with a thorny stick, causing a deep wound to his arm.

The injured child was shifted to a hospital for treatment.
