TOFTT
Stands for Take One For The Team.
Like in baseball when a batter lets himself get hit by a pitch. He gets hurt, but the team is in a better position with a runner on bace.
Or in a war, when a guy throws himself on a grenade, to save his team.
In other words, you "take one for the team" when you do something that you find very unpleasant, but it benefits the team.
Like say you met up with a really terrible SP. You have a terrible time, but then you tell the rest of us. So we are saved from a similar fate. Thats TOFTT.
You don't say TOFTT when you enjoy the experience.

Northern Bear: Yeah...you're right in your literary definition of the term...however, in our hobbying "realm" it means more than that (ie. good or bad experience) and means the first one to check out an "unknown".

TOFTT also means "TOOK ONE FOR THE TEAM" (i.e., past tense) and I think that's exactly what 123dwl was saying in his original post. When he went in he was definitely "taking one for the team" as he had no idea whatsoever whether it would turn out to be a good experience or a bad experience.
