Summer is short enough as it is. Wonder what will happen to our beaches? Flooding in 2 of the past 3 years. And now the plague. (May 2-4 already cancelled.)

May 2-4 will happen regardless of Fords constant BS. Soon as the weather is nice people will go outside. Cops already said they won’t ticket people sitting on benches. California is opening up the beaches. Same will happen here.

Ford's BS . Tell that to all of the YOUNG and old who have died because of the virus . More of Ford's BS . Tell that to the families who have had someone die because of the virus .

Sure go ahead to the beach . Have a picnic or a party . Enjoy yourself . It's all Ford's BS .

Just as long as you all stay in Toronto . IT'S ALL FORD'S BS . Enjoy

Cops aren't going to ticket people sitting on benches because some people need to take a break while walking . Spend all afternoon on a bench and see what happens .

Don't give a rats ass what California does . We don't live in California . In many States they are allowed to carry side arms . Because they can should we do the same .

Yes Sir . It's all Ford's BS .

We will.

Ford should exercise common sense, and he should exercise. Literally. Hit the treadmill.

Go for it . Make sure you put up a pic of yourself on the beach to prove that you're not just shooting your mouth off .

Here
Water levels on the lake are expected to be high again this year so I don't think going to the beach is going to be much of an issue

Bikinis and masks, mask tan lines. If the parks are closed then by the same logic so should the beaches ? After all, are the beaches not a type of waterfront park ? The Toronto Police can easily enforce beach closure, Bluffers Park is already closed for example. If Toronto Police get overwhelmed, then the Canadian Armed Forces in the nursing homes can be called in for beach coming exercises.

They better not close our beaches that accounts for almost 3/4 of my < 25 sexual encounters! There’s a new crop of college & uni cuties every year that flock to the beach for sun, fun & getting laid. Maybe not a bumper crop this year but I still predict lots of top less hotties on the boat for July & August...& hopefully at least 1 or 2 three sums :D

All this talk of covid19, infections, masks, ICU's, death, etc. is depressing. Time to spice things up a bit.

These people who run our cities and the province are so fucking stupid. Yes, that includes Doug. How in the name of fuck are you going to catch the Chines virus on the beach or hanging around the park? They got us into this and, now, they have no idea how to get out of it. Yeah, I listened to the "news" updates. Everything open ended, not a plan in sight.

It's not the people who run the cities and provinces who're stupid. It's the general population that is stupid and the people running things know this. If the general population took social distancing seriously you wouldn't have to ban these things. But, you saw groups of kids on the same playground equipment, parents standing side-by-side talking amongst themselves so they had to ban parks. Give ppl a cm and they'll take a mile. Open up the beaches and rather than turning back to go home because the beach was to full to adequately distance, you'll have the morons cramming themselves in there which is how the virus will spread on beaches. It's because of the idiocy of a few that draconian measures need to be taken and everyone has to suffer.

It reminds me of elementary school. I loved gym class. Our teacher had a simple rule that when we got to the gym we had to first sit in a circle to get instructions. If we didn't do that we had to turn around and lose gym class. There were a couple of morons in class who, the second they walked in, started chasing each other around and climbing on the climbers, general fucking around instead of sitting on the circle for a minute and then everybody got to run around and climb on the climbers. So we'd have to turn around and go back to the classroom and these idiots were bitching amongst themselves about how the teacher sucked. It wasn't the teacher who sucked. So many in the general population can't see the forest for the trees.

California has decided to close their beaches because of too many stupid people.
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/apr/30/california-beaches-closed-coronavirus-risks-experts

One infected person infects 2 people on average. Now we have 2 more infected people who will infect 4 more people who will then infect more people. It's the magic of compounding.

If we had 100% intelligent civilians we wouldn't need politicians or police or jails, but we don't. As our HR folks keep telling me, 10% of the people cause all the problems.

Ok. Show me the studies pointing to the infection rates on beaches or in the parks. It's all about science, they tell us. What is the rate and the likelihood of the infection in the outdoor environments?

They keep telling us outside of 2 meters the infection rate is very low, yet they expect no one to go outside...I tell you, come next election Ford is history.

Do you have to be told again . It's not the beach or the park that's the problem . It's the stupid people . They don't keep a fair distance apart . They hang around together .

Just like the play grounds . Kids are playing together . Parents are hanging around each other watching their kids . Ever been to a dog park . Dogs are running around loose ( no problem there ) but the dog owners are hanging around each other yapping .

That's why they closed these areas . People are just fucking stupid . It's the few stupid ones that spoil it for everyone else . If people kept their distance from each other than there wouldn't be a problem .

That's why they closed High Park or whatever it's called . Stupid people will hang around each other looking at the blossoms . They won't keep the proper distance from each other . Why do you think grocery stores only allow a few people in at a time . To separate people from each other . Why do you think there are markings on the floor where you line up . To keep the people apart .

It's got nothing to do with the environment . It's safer to be outside than in an air conditioned building
