yeah... like for real.. even if they get a facial shot of the suspect's face, its pretty hard to tell who it is.For the life of me...in today's technological world...how in the hell do security companies get away with installing such cheap shit cameras.
i mean really...we have better video on phones.
grainy, poor quality crap!
A security company can suggest a certain type of CCTV system, but it's ultimately the client's choice about how much they want to actually spend. The systems are not cheap. For the life of me...in today's technological world...how in the hell do security companies get away with installing such cheap shit cameras.

its not cheap because not many are in this business... I mean when I bought my first digital camera almost a decade ago, that 4megapixel crap cost me $1,300.. People wouldn't even want that crap for $100 today. Are you telling me those crappy quality security cameras are actually worth their high costs today?A security company can suggest a certain type of CCTV system, but it's ultimately the client's choice about how much they want to actually spend. The camera is only one part of the cost of the system. And if you think that it's cheap and easy with today's components, I would suggest that you have never recorded hours and hours of video, perhaps from multiple cameras, with wider angles and longer fields of view. Heck, there was a politician who apparently used a phone's video to tape a response to a major political event - and it looked great on the camera: on TV, not so much.its not cheap because not many are in this business... As for this incident, I'm glad there was this camera footage to be used.
