Traffic gripe

Sorry, just got to bitch about this.

I'd love to meet the IQ-challenged genius who scheduled road repairs this summer.

Lawrence Ave in and around Victoria Pk has lane reductions due to road repairs. Fine. What's the most likely alternate during rush hour?

Eglinton Ave. Oh...wait...Eglinton Ave in and around Victoria Pk is ALSO undergoing road repairs and has lane restrictions. That's not bright.

So, let's take the OTHER alternate....York Mills. Oh...wait...York Mills in and around the DVP is ALSO undergoing road repairs!

I'm really at a loss to know if whoever does the scheduling is that incredibly stupid or whether it's some insidious scheme to waste our time.

Or perhaps it's more Machiavallian than that...it's wasting our fuel too, at a time when gas prices are at an all time high.

They have to do it in the summer, in broad daylight, business hours. It is only Toronto.

Road construction crews only work at night in major cities. Major American cities.

I dunno how you people live in that city with the traffic the way it is? And I thought Ottawa was bad... Ottawa is the Indy 500 compared to T.O. I think I would have to get used to public transit if I ever end up living there or go crazy trying to drive in it.
