This doesn't answer your question, but what did you say to the officer at the scene? Was there any admission of guilt on your part when you described how the accident occurred? In my very limited experience that's the basis for a charge of careless driving.Anyone ever get off a careless driving ticket with traffic ticket places that fight for you? Had accident and was charged with careless, wondering if anyone has any luck fighting this type of charge?
I've engaged a paralegal to fight a similar offence for someone else, but the trial is next year so I won't know yet.Anyone ever get off a careless driving ticket with traffic ticket places that fight for you? What about a rear-end collision where the other vehicle has little damage? (The driver got out of their car okay, but after speaking to tow truck drivers in her native tongue, then decided that she wasn't feeling well, maybe had whiplash, and an ambulance and cop were called - this accident was by someone else, not me).I hope nobody has injured in your accident.
I was told by a lawyer careless driving is a charge that isn't that easy to prove. The procecutor will likely bargain down to another less awful conviction if you contact him. You don't need Pointts for that. Just be sure to sound confident and ready to take up a lot of court time disproving the officer's judgement and whatever witness information he gathered. I'll guess the officer wasn't a witness to the events causing the charge meaning he is going on someone's else's information. This is a lot different than having a calibrated radar unit reading saying you were going a certain speed. Also you can sound ready to call in legal help without actually hiring it.
