I was wondering if anybody has any info regarding US citizen traveling to Canada. Looks like Apr 1st, fully vaxxed people won’t need a negative test to enter Canada but can be still selected for a random test on arrival. If I was to be selected, was wondering if I can wait at the border for the result cause if it’s positive, I would just drive back. I prefer not to quarantine in Canada doing nothing.

Assuming I do enter Canada without issue, do I need a negative covid test before I return to the US even if I’m driving.

appreciate if anybody has any insights. Thanks in advance

La la land
Rules change every 3 hours like the weather. Officers on land are not well trained. But at airports they seem to be by the hour.

Basically YMMV depending on your luck.

I know someone who comes from D.C for business here but got work to give them the papers for it. Only because they have an office here.

Coming into Canada no longer requires a negative test, but the App needs to be used and you might get a random test.

Going home it looks like the US still require a negative test result within 24 hours of your flight departure. Rapid is fine but it can't be a self test, must be administered by a pharmacy etc...

If you are flying into Canada you still need a negative Antigen test.
