The taxi from the airport should cost $ 26 USD
Best discos are in the Mariscal Sucre district
The Alemeda Plaza Hotel is a good choice.
www.Lahora.com.ec
Take lots of small bills ($ USD)
Go to the Equator & a volcanic crater
Walk the Centro Historico (a.k.a. Old Town)
Visit the 18th century “La Merced”
Nearby is the “Compania de Jesus” church
Have a rest in the “Plaza Grande”
To the east stands the Palacio del Gobierno”. Free tours given.
To the south is the main cathedral
Opposite the church is the “Palacio Arzobispal” This massive building now houses restaurants, shops & cafes around a fountain courtyard. Stop for lunch on the upper level. “Hata la Vuelta Senor”serves tradional Andean dishes.
Try “ceviche” & “locro de papa” (potato soup c/w avocado & cheese), and “seco de chivo” (goat stew).
In the afternoon, take a taxi to the west side for a ride on the “teleferiqo” (enclosed gondola) up to “Volcan Pichincha to the top of “Cruz Loma”.
Stick around at “Vista Hermosa” www.vistahermosa.ec
Next day climb to the top of “Basilica del Voto Nacional”, 15 m., via a lift and winding staircase. $ 2 admission.
Visit the 16th Century “Monastery of San Francisco” on a lovely square in Old Quito.
The 3rd day take a taxi out to “Capilla del Hombre” set atop a hill and go to the nearby “museo Guayasamin”.
Wander “La Ronda” at night but take a taxi to/from it.

P.S. I stayed at the Hotel Reina Isabel. Excellent location and good value
P.S. #2 Getting laid won't be cheap. Figure on $ 200 USD per.
