TSX down 600 points

The TSX was down over 600 points today, down almost 2400 points since October.

For those that work in the financial industry, will this market downturn affect your hobbying activities?

So far I have only cut back on visiting SC's, but if we go into a bad recession I will probably have to cut back on all my hobbying expenses.

I have to study it a little bit before making any moves. Made some investments in precious metals last summer. Saved my ass.

Keep studying - Asian markets opened up down ANOTHER 5% (after dropping almost 6% yesterday).

The vultures ( err brokers) are still making plenty. Lots of commissions from the panic sales.

I was in in 1987, I was in in 9/11. Got crushed both times--on paper, I did not sell-1 to 3 years later, I had more cash-on paper again- than I had before the sell off started.

Guess I am going to pray it be 3 times now, not just 2.

Theres a oh, 25% chance the markets could crash tomorrow--that means a 2000-3000 point drop not just 600.

We will see, if so, don't anybody do something dumb-like jump out a 10 story window.

It should be entertaining to see a bloodbath on Wall Street Tuesday.... I am sure the TSX has a lot more it can shed as well... it is LONG overdue.

And the banks are leading the way up.

Only mining, oil and tech stocks are going down.

Glad I sold Yahoo @ 29--even thou it hit 34 a few weeks later, its in the teens now
