TTC Bogus Tickets

At first, I thought they arrested 8 customers for using bogus TTC tickets. Instead, it is actually TTC officers arrested for issuing bogus tickets while goofing off. They have been criminally charged and fired. Why do employees do such stupid things? Getting a job with the TTC is like winning the lottery.

its almst as good as becoming a senator in ottawa if you are a ticket collector. but seriously what a braindead occupation and a drain on society.

To work the ticket booth it is likely you or a senior at the TTC and have been doing other work there for several years, or you have some disability and/or are obese.

This is why you only ever see younger workers in those booths on weekends, holidays.

The really young ones maybe you'll see on like x-mas day or new years.

Every now and then you hear of ticket booth attendants getting caught with their hands in the till and losing their job and gold plated pensions. So stupid.
Query: Why do many of the culprits have Italian sounding names?

i got in by having an excellent work history, clean driving and criminal record , writing a resume that was appealing along with a solid interview (you do this by finding out what they want then give it to them ) and by not giving up

in other words I earned it

like most things it looks better from the outside

it is a waste of life as it is boring as the assembly line with onerous responsibility as you can wreak your life and someone else's in an instant



a lot of your salary is eaten up by benefits ( TTC pays only a percentage of the benefits) and if you never use the benefits then die after retiring ...

they issued false tickets to prove they were working when they were not

I dunno but there were a lot of Italians who died building those subways back in the day before the unions represented them.
