TTC - Subway Summer A/C and Heater both on!?

ok... someone pls. enlighten me here. I ride the subway everyday and I cannot figure why the subway and only in the summer time has the heater turned on FULL Blast from the floor. Meanwhile the A/C is blasting from above your head. This must be some kinda "TTC/Bombardier Einstein Engineer" that invented this feature. What's more surprising is no one seem to have complained. I've written a complain letter to the Great TTC last summer but [yup you guessed it] no response.....

NOTE: You prob. can't feel it if you're not sitting at the seat right by the wall facing up/down on either side.

Correct, the TTC is ready for every eventuality. Actually, with all this rain, they should be installing flotation devices under the seats. Just in case.

TTC's statement on this is that there will be some blasts of heat on the trains, as it helps regulate humidity along with the AC.
