Looks like she's gone full right wing now.
I wonder if she will run under the Republican ticket, if she decides to get back into politics.

A lot of the far left have started to turn against her. I wonder if Jimmy Dore will?

Kim Iverson seems to be also headed in that direction as well.

Ana Kasparian is gloating now.

I saw the clip of her supposed flip. It isn't. She has always supported the LIMITED use of drone strikes when human soldiers would be put at too great a risk. And she in no way condoned the killing of innocents. Her position is no wars but limited and targeted use of the military to achieve specific goals. With none of the fake nation building.

And uf the press who are now saying this had any guts or integrity they would invite her on and let her speak. But because she took down their darling VP they won't.

At least she still has one supporter for her on this board.
But I guess since you've given up on Sanders, you need someone else to back.

Side note. I can't stand Jimmy Dore.

He makes some good points, but he's a prick. I don't agree with him on everything, but he needs to come out against Tulsi.
Jimmy is Dore is, first and foremost, a comedian. He's also a political commentator whose personal leaning is decidedly progressive left. He respects Gabbard. I can guarantee that he would not if he thought she was a closet GOP politician.

The problem the left has with Tulsi is that she tells the truth a little too often for their liking. Interestingly, she doesn't find the truth to be such an impediment to her progressive views as so many others on the left do. It's the same reason why people on the right, while not agreeing with every policy view that she has, respect her and are prepared to at least listen to her. You know, the way political debate is supposed to work!

Tulsi always supported drone strikes and really any military action against Muslims that came along, didn't she?

"Drone strikes, but we will be better at them" is pretty much standard. It was Bernie's position as well.
Trump and others were in the "Drone strikes so we can kill even more people without risking any American lives" but that's a slightly different position.

She's part of some Hindu-Extremist cult, it's a white guy that runs it in Hawaii apparently. She loves Modi, who also hates Muslims.

How much to hold the cult thing against her is vague to me.
That she's got some pretty strong anti-muslim views has never really been hidden, though.

But she is in that Glenn Greenwald/Michael Tracey/Matt Tabibi group. The fake populists.
They always tend to end up repeating the right wing stuff because that's where the money is and that's who is listening to them.

Lest we forget Obama the Drone King. Its a no brainer to a politician to prevent body bags. Tulsi is a bit more nuanced in that she doesn't have an objection to using special forces. But its a risk favtor decision and not about standard policy usage.

Her main objection was to wars and regime change. She prefered terrorist threat management and let nations figure it out themselves.

I tried looking up this when she was running. There are ties, both because of her family and because the group is politically active in Hawaii.

But the fact it wasn't used against her in the campaign tells me there isn't much to dig up. I think she had beliefs in it until her time in the military that would have opened her eyes to a much more nuanced world view as opposed to her somewhat sheltered upbringing.

No, we can't forget about that.
It would be nice if more people who talked about it actually cared about drone strikes, but we can't have everything.

The US has military weapons and they will be used in various ways and not unilaterally abandoned is normal.
It would be better if people weren't giant hypocrites about it, but we can't have everything.

Her main objection was to wars and regime change. She prefered terrorist threat management and let nations figure it out themselves.
And she was wildly misrepresented by her supporters for much of it.
It's like people who thought Trump was isolationist.

I basically agree with this.
She was a third or fourth tier Presidential candidate but if this had any real legs something dramatic would have been used against her by now by the time she ran (or more likely during her congressional runs).

I am sure it shaped her world view somewhat but the idea that she is actively the pawn of some kind of cult just seems like ad hominem nonsense.

The cult isn't that big for her to be a pawn of it, however this argument could work for Mitt Romney or Mike Lee.
